Why not both?
Taco commercial.
Yay!
Both, but built for different roles.
The Falcon should be a transport (1 crew, 5 passengers) with a chin-mounted light machine gun.
The Hornet should be a ground attack aircraft (1 crew) with twin heavy machine guns and unguided rocket pods mounted on the landing skids (where the passengers used to sit). The Hornet’s controls should be tweaked though from Halo 3’s version, maybe closer to the Falcon.
I think the Falcon would be kind of a better choice. As we should think about how it would balance with it’s nemesis, the Banshee.
It should be a transport without a chin mounted turret, so as to not overpower it from all flanks, also it should be slightly slower. The passenger turrets should remain the same, but with a Little faster overheating, as to pace the shots.
Both, but I’m always up for something new as well.

The Hornet and Falcon are sort of opposites.
Falcon:
-Pilot is weaponless
-Gunners have turrets
-Can move fast
-Objective items cannot be carried (no weaponless, pilotless seat)
Hornet:
-Pilot has weapons
-Passengers need to bring their own weapons
-quite slow
-Can carry objective items (I think, can someone check?)
They should both be in the game, with the Hornet as the main assault vehicle and the Falcon as support. Maybe give the Falcon weaker versions of the campaign grenade launchers to balance out the fact that is machine guns kinda sucked
And as for new vehicles, the Covenant should get a VTOL aircraft, such as the Vampire (?).
Both and something new, with multiple versions available in Forge and Custom Games!
Hornet , falcons are big and clumsy i think most people want it because reach is the latest Halo before Halo 4.

I seem to remember them being able to transport flag and bomb carriers too.
The Falcon wasn’t good on the offensive, you practically need two other players in order to be able to pose a threat and even then, the weapons are weak and it’s not easy to aim unless you have an extremely steady driver. If they give us grenade launchers instead it could work. Maybe. Giving the driver a slightly weaker gun will also help. The Hornet is overpowered and doesn’t promote teamwork, and I’m sure 343i can do better than it. So in a sense, both are fixable, but a new machine may be better than upgrading either of them.
We don’t need two of them or three of them, that would just waste precious time for 343i which already don’t have a lot of it (with their 2 year dev cycle) and the resources that would be spent on making two extra vehicles would be better spent elsewhere.
So I chose something new.
Both and something new. If not, something new by itself, a mix of the two perhaps. Falcons top speed and passenger capability with mounted turrets or grenade launchers, with the hornets ability to fire rockets with piloting.
And make is $exy ; )
I never understood how anyone could like the Falcon, it was bulky and awkward. And the Hornet always felt overpowered. They have yet to master the human aircraft, so we need something new.
Air Warfare needs to expand in halo 5. It was one of the things that attracted me to the franchise in the first place - vehicles.
It’s like one of those car commercials " I like and better"
A gigantic vehicle gamemode so that we can use the Falcon, Hornet & Sparrowhawk (toned down a lot) from Wars in air combat. Or just a really big map with a lot of players so that we can use the Hawk
If you couldn’t tell already, I love the Hawk. Oh & maybe that VTOL toy that was shown with the Siege bike?
I feel like the recurring theme in all Human vehicles is the fact that many need more than one player to become offensive. For example, the mongoose driver needs a passenger to shoot. So does the warthog. Thus, the Falcon should return instead of the Hornet, but I think there should be one passenger seat in the middle of the gunners for an objective player or something like that.
I prefer the Hornet over the Falcon, but it was very overpowered in Halo 3. To balance it, the Hornet will have a weaker chaingun (2/3’s as strong as the Warthog’s), and it’s Missiles will no longer lock on and will be half as damaging. The Hornet’s passenger seats will return as well, and they will be mainly encouraged during Objective games, where players can ride them while carrying the Flag/Ball.
The Hornet is also more canonically correct than the Falcon. As we all know, both the Falcon and the DMR were destroyed with Reach.
Both, even though they both are UNSC air vehicles they have two very different roles.
The Hornet is more of a strike fighter, taking on targets on the ground and air head on, while the Falcon is more of a troop transport with combat capabilities, a warthog of the skies if you will.

unfortunately, the DMR and Falcon are issued throughout the UNSC Army, which had combat units on most human colonies. Hence the DMR and Falcon still exist
Both, since we got shafted on a UNSC air vechicle in Halo 4 MP.
Something new along with the Hornet and Falcon would be great as well.
