Falcon needs an upgrade

Ok, in halo 3 i absolutely loved the hornet. It was the best vehicle ever brought into the series.

I loved how they had the machine variant and the rocket varient hornet, but when reach came along, they raeplaced the hornet with a quite goodlooking falcon, but its really depressing since the driver cant turret in multiplayer, and in campaign, it has a poo 5 shot turret thing.

Its really depressing since its an awesome vehicle but not as good as the hornet. I prefer the falcons looks but prefer the hornet in attack wise, since i hate having to rely on bad turreters to shoot for me.

What they should have is 2 falcons. Passenger falcon and combat falcon. The passenger falcon is the reach falcon where the passengers shoot, but driver cant, while the combad falcon has a non 5 shot chain gun and rockets attatched to the wing, and no turrets for passengers. The driver presses Y and the chain gun rotates to the rockets and makes a techno noise. how scary would that be?

Dont say its to overpowered because the banshee can flip, and the falcon is easily lazerable.

I think the falcon should have rockets and a chaingun for drivers, because its such a waiste of a nice vehicle, making he driver fly around hoping someone get it, its so underwelming. When someone hears the falcon, they should commence bowel movement in fear like people did woth the hornet.

Your thoughts?

A weak hornet would be fine with me.

The Falcon needs to be re-replaced by the Hornet. Though it would be better if they could coexist (especially in Forge and Custom Games).

I thought the Falcon looked way better, the hornet looks like it wouldn’t be able to fly a lot of halos vehicles look cheap and made on a budget modern day military helicopters look like they could kick halo vehicles -Yoink-. just give the falcon a chain gun and rockets for multi player.

The two falcons from the campaign were good, you could get in the extra passenger seats, have a turret on front or have to one with grenade launchers.

I’m more in favor of the falcons (especially the campaign ones) however i would never say no to a hornet in forge and custom games, just something extra to play with in the sandbox :smiley:

If we’re going to use the Falcon instead of the Hornet, then the Falcon is gonna need the ability to carry a passenger. Remove the guns and give the pilot his gun so it will be more Hornet like. Or give us the Hornet, I don’t care.

A Falcon that can move a little bit faster and ascend/descend a little faster.

The thing I find strange about the Falcon in Reach is that it has tiny machine guns that do massive amounts of damage and are extremely accurate from huge distances. Then on the other hand we have the Warthog which has a much bigger gatling gun (HUGE in fact) that doesn’t dish out the same damage.

Surely the Warthog turret would, canonically speaking, dish out more damage than those puny things on the Falcon.

The Falcon should just have higher mobility, and the ability for gunners to gauge how much damage the vehicle has taken. It should easily be able to outspeed a Banshee, but not have nearly the firepower behind it. If you want a tank, you have the Banshee. Maybe buff the side turrets a little bit too since they seemed weak in Reach.

I’d say just replace the falcon’s chainguns with the grenade turrets, reduce it’s range, and add the ability to carry passengers.
