Would anyone else be happy to see the Falcon appear in Halo Wars 2 as a multi-role unit which can transport troops instead of paying for a pelican pick up and can be given upgraded weaponry to be come a good firebase in which it could have grenade launchers as an option like off reach which can temporarily stun vehicles. What are your thoughts on this?
Perhaps but I think no
In Reach they called it “The warthog of the sky”. I think it would make an interesting addition, being a multi role/scout unit.
On a similar note, it would be neat if infantry could ride in/on vehicles such as the warthog or scorpion.
We might see a falcon, but probably not as a transport, and while I want it, it’s still a dumb vehicles that continues to elude me on why it exists in the first place, but then again so i shrinking the number off people a pelican can carry, it’s now 6. That takes a lot of pelicans to transport an army of 120.

Pelicans don’t transport only six, they have room to carry 18 while fully kitted, and if you stripped it down to the bare minimum it can easily do upwards of 24 Spartan 4s or marines.
I would love to see the falcon but if it does double as a transport it should only be able to carry a squad.
I would love to the Falcon, especially since you could add the Grenade Turrets as an addition to just the Pilot’s gun. (Modded Halo: Reach Falcons)
I wouldn’t mind
What’s with the sudden obsession with the falcon on these forums?!?!
OT: I can see its advantages and disadvantages of being in the game, but I’m not entirely sure if it can do anything (from an RTS view) that the hornet can’t already.
It should be an alternative upgrade for the hornet that allows it to transport a squad.

But that would defeat the purpose of the Transport ability. The Hornet is an attack vehicle, not a space bus.
I’d like it, it could fill a niche of “Light, Anti-infantry air transport”
VS The Hornets “Light, Anti Vehicle gunship”
VS The Sparrowhawks “Anti Vehicle Gunship”
VS The Pelicans “Transport”
VS The Pelican gunships “Heavy, anti structure gunship”
VS The Vultures “Heavy, Anti Ground gunship”
What the UNSC really needs aswell is some anti air unit in game

The Pelican is for mass transport and moving vehicles.
The Falcon is for tactical insertion of 1 infantry squad providing fire support.
They are not mutually exclusive roles.
I would love that. Especially with Grenade Turrets.
My opinion is this - hell yeah. Put as many things in as they can. Draw upon the law - focus on making all the possibilities of the 26th century battlefield a reality in this game.
Why just have one Warthog which gets upgraded like in Halo Wars 1, for instance? Why not have Warthog LRVs, LAAV-Rs, LAAV-Gs, Troop Hogs and APCs all be different variants that all have specific uses, unique attributes and abilities? It was like that in the Total War series.
If there’s too much clutter, perhaps they can be swapped out in a pre-game menu like in Company of Heroes. Like, swapping say, the Wolverine for the Rocket Hog might allow Anti-Aircraft firepower earlier in the game on a lighter vehicle that also has elevated effectiveness against land targets and speed, but less armour and AA-effectiveness.
The Falcon might be a more expensive replacement for the Hornet, with better armour and the ability to transport a single ground infantry unit.

I like this idea. It could open up alot of possibilities, and certainly please the fans.
I’m all for having as much variety in the game as possible. If they can somehow get every vehicle in the Halo canon into the game, that would be awesome.
if the falcon is in HW 2 and I think it is. It would make the falcon fans so happy so see our beloved falcon return in all her glory
If we didn’t get a Falcon for Memories of Reach, then I highly doubt 343 has the capacity to code in something that is not their own creation into HW2. If anything, all the humans will get for an air vehicle is recolored Banshees and Phaetons.
Wait the phaeton Helios is coming to Halo Wars 2??? I’m so ready!!!
