Failed to join BTB three times in a row

I have a challenge that can only be done by playing BTB and I just spent 15 minutes trying and failing to connect to a game, restarting twice in the process.

Okay @343, so you really just, don’t understand how to make a game work at all? I can’t even join a game now? Good lord.

Going in to your fireteam and changing it to open has been recommended on reddit, but it’s unclear if this actually adds any improvement or not.
