Face Reflections on Visor

So prior to the release of Halo 5: Guardians, 343i showed off footage of the Campaign Spartans’ faces reflecting off the inside of their visors when looking at certain angles.

While I understand the importance of not flashing a face on the screen in multiplayer, I don’t see why they couldn’t have added it in Campaign as the faces of every member of Fireteam Osiris have been seen and so has Master Chief’s, so 343i would’ve only had to have revealed the remaining Blue Team members’ faces.

It could’ve been a neat addition that would’ve added to to immersion, so maybe in Halo 6?

I think that much detail would be a bit excessive to be honest. Sure it’d look amazing and bring in some depth to the Spartans themselves, but I don’t think it’s necessary at this point. Still sounds awesome though. In any case, you might wanna talk about this in the existing H6 wishlists. Links in my signature.

I agree that it wouldn’t nave been necessary, but it would’ve been a nice novelty.

I’ll be sure to check the post you refer to out.

I don’t know. I’ve always liked seeing my Spartan’s face as their helmet. Seeing an actual face would just weird me out.

A reflection in the visor of the things the spartans are/were fighting wouldve made them even more badass. One of the many things the game disappointed on

Wait when did they show master chiefs face?

The Halo 4 Legendary ending gives you a zoomed-in view of his eyes and the bridge of his nose.

The game wouldn’t be able to run at 60 fps, due to further details that the Xbox’s GPU would have to render. The game would have to be put down to 30 fps. For halo 6 they may be able to try, but I doubt it. It’s so pointless, and just wastes time on the GPU. And 60 fps is pretty much required for Halo 6, otherwise I’m not playing it.

Hear hear. Having face for the Spartan causes a lot more knots than it unties.

I’m mostly a PC guy myself, but you should still give the consoles a little more credit than that.

The Xbox one is a piss poor system. I’m surprised that it got halo 5 to 60 fps. Adding any further details will cause either severe frame drops, or it will force 343 to cap the fps at 30.
