Extremely Frustrated with time being stolen...

Tonight was the 3rd time my brother and I, while playing co-op Legendary on H2A have suffered a locked up that results in a disconnect.

Legendary is already frustrating because as with the original, Legendary plays as if the Iron Skull is enabled. Because we are not awesome players like everyone else, it generally takes us about 2 hours to complete a chapter.

The Arbiter was a difficult mission for it. Just under 2 hours of gameplay we got disconnected. We tried again the next time and completed it. But that’s still 2 hours of time that is not recoverable. ZERO progress. Should have watched a movie or done something else as that time was literally stolen from us.

Two nights ago we stated Delta:Halo. After about 90 minutes of play, we reach an area loaded with snipers and a couple waves of the flying bugs (I’m too lazy to look up names, bear with me kids). The game locked up. Again, 2 hours of our lives stolen. Frustrating…whatever, move on. Tonight we set out to do this mission again. We reach the same area, make a little bit more progress and…locked up, disconnected.

Considering the difficult nature of Legendary AND the lousy bugs we have had to suffer through on a game that has been out for about 6 weeks is truly embarrassing. The above along with the lousy long match making times…I can put in Destiny an in hour play about 4-6 MP matches. Halo 2:Anniversary, I can play maybe 3. It takes too long to find players and to get a game started. Anyhow, I’m sure there are many many many posts on the lousy matchmaking. For campaign, I’d like to see a patch that not only would address the above, but make it so that we can SAVE and RESUME and not have to start over every damn time. At least that way, if we get disconnected or suffer a stupid lock up, we can resume progress after we reload the game.

I really really hate complaining. But…my trust and love of the Xbox 360 and Halo is the reason I bought the Xbox One. Microsoft has done a poor job of managing the Xbox One and 343, together with Microsoft, is botching the only game that keeping me an Xbox gamer. I’m not ready to throw in the towel. Not with Halo 5 looming. But how you correct the wrongs of this release whatever future issues (if any) Halo 5 brings may just be the push that gets me to can it all and get a PlayStation. I know they have problems too…but right now…I may be willing to see if I can deal with those problems because I’m getting tired of dealing with THESE problems.

I keep begging friends to buy Halo but I’ve stopped. Ive told them to wait. Instead join me on GTA5 which seems to have resolved just about all their connection issues as it’s a pretty solid game and I can play for hours with no issues.

Destiny, while a RIP off because it’s incomplete, looks stunningly beautiful and WORKS…at least it did, I haven’t played it since I got Halo.

This last complaint is really an industry complaint which sadly is not just limited to this industry. I am sick and tired of the SHIP NOW and FIX LATER attitudes. I’d rather have a game delayed and never released than to spend my cash on a broken game. I don’t give a damn what Microsoft exec’s title is when he says it has to ship by a certain date. I’ve had to talk my brother OUT of selling Halo and hanging in there. A couple of my other on-line gaming friends, I think I’ve lost them.

Gaming is suppose to be fun. Not a pain in the -Yoink- chore to arrange.

I understand you completely, playing through Halo 2 with my friend has been a chore. 4 times now we’ve been disconnected near finishing a mission. We had to play Delta Halo twice and Regret three times, now we have to redo Gravemind. I shouldn’t have to play the game holding my breath expecting a crash and a loss of hours of time every second.

I want to love this game so badly but it’s incredibly hard, even the disconnects wouldn’t be so bad if the game wasn’t ALREADY broken where you can’t resume from a checkpoint.
