Extremely Excited about Radar Change

I think the decision to go back on the radar is great for the casual audience and the fact that they have social slayer this time around. Halo 5 was overly hyper competitive and that really ended up killing my enjoyment overall.

Really happy we get to see the classic radar in the next flight. Gotta warn ya!
Your gonna have the H5, comp players on here flipping out about the change about the radar.

idk, I kind of enjoyed the new radar as a casual player, I could play without sprint and have a somewhat advantage idk. I don’t mind either way

I was the same. Didnt even noticed the radar change until a bot walked up behind me. I think for the next flight having PVP and BTB i would prefer the classic radar though. Think being on a big or small map and walking around not showing up on the radar doesnt make sense to me. There are so many people and forums complaining about the radar. Its kinda funny and sad that people are getting angry about this and the second flight hasnt even happend yet. If both radars work and are balanced then 343 could have the classis in Social and the new one for Ranked to try and please everyone. Halo isn’t strictly a E-sport and im tired of it being latched onto halo. Halo is meant for eveyone casual and competitive alike.

I was under the assumption that social would have classic while ranked would use the new one. It didn’t really affect me playing bots but immediately noticed it when the PvP opened up.

I’m a casual player but I still think the old radar is bad. Having to crouch walk in order to be invisible on the radar/motion tracker has always been lame to me.

It might seem lame to you but this is what halo is. its even canon too with the visor system It’s a futuristic shooter so it makes sense for it to be the way they have changed it too.

I hate it. Really hate it. You are a Spartan for -yoink- sake. Get on your feet and behave like one.

I honestly don’t think the radar change is a positive or negative for casual or competitive players. Now everyone is going to know where you are at all times, including people who really know how to read a radar. The new radar did give less power to camping players, and let you move around the maps at a good speed without being punished. It also let you pull of flanks easier without spending a lot of time crouched. It still took longer than sprinting, but you didn’t show up on the radar.

I liked the new radar because it punished players for moving around quickly, sprinting, using the grapple shot, stuff like that, as well as players shooting. It let you move at walking speed without being punished, and it let you get sneaky without taking up as much time. The new radar allowed for people to get into firefights and have the element of surprise. You could get the drop on somebody with the gravity hammer without camping. The new radar encouraged moving, just not at full speed.

As long as there’s no radar on ranked, just normals, I’m perfectly fine with it.

I am convinced that the radar change is bad for the casual players.

Also, anything that encourages crouch walking is bad game design to me.

I would have rather kept the new radar.

Could easily just be made canon by better armor being better at tricking the radar/motion sensor.

Lore is not a good excuse/reason to keep a bad game design element. Change can be good.

Have fun with all the campers.

Crouch walking sucks, that’s my feelings on the matter.

Crouch walking for a long time is suppose to suck. That is why you are more opt to not do it all the time.

Crouch walking sucks for any period of time.

That’s is your subjective opinion. I disagree.

Nothing worse than spawning into a map at the start of a game and seeing one of your ‘team-mates’ immediately switch into crouch mode and slink off to their hidey-hole.

Sigh.

Wait so what is the radar like now? Do you not still crouch to hide from it?

Yeah! Classic radar.

lame is an understatement…but hey…different strokes for different folks I guess.
