Extream Environment that affects players?

Ok, before you judge it, just hear me out.

After coming up with ideas in this thread:
http://halo.xbox.com/Forums/yaf_postsm459319_-UN-OFFICIAL-map-suggestion-thread.aspx#post459319

I began to think about whether the environment should affect how our armour functions. After all, it isn’t invincible.

So how about in extream cold and blizzards that we have reduced speed, a haywire radar, and short vision?
Or in a map with an ongoing thunderstorm that our armour short circuits when a lightning bolt strikes near by, acting like an EMP?
Or in a sandstorm it damages our sheilds and reduces visibility?
Or in night time when visibility is really low?

I just thought that with these sorts of things it could really create some unique maps and it would make a little more sense.

Remember it would affect everyone, not just one or two people

Thanks for reading

All im gonna say about this is that i would never vote for a map with something like this in it. I don’t think it would work in Halo.

Waw good idea. would be new and awsome

Then what works with halo?

Halo 4 is a new trilogy (get over it)

Halo ce has aliens in it… that was new and “halo”
it has alot of guns in it… that was “halo”
you know why? because it was the first halo…

honestly i can imagine, running in the harsh wind with lightning everywhere.

EDIT: or maybe an alien wheather that does not take place on earth

Halo used to be a series where we didn’t need gimmicks like this. Reach added a ton of crappy gimmicks and whether you like it or not, there has never been more hate on a Halo game. Adding random lightning that might screw me over is not something that i want to see. Having your vision blocked by a sandstorm, or your shields damaged adds nothing to the game but a stupid gimmick.

And you would be happy running around with a halo 2 battle rifle stuck up your -Yoink- thinking video games should only be for competitive players, and halo should always remain the same. GET over yourself, remember its Halo Combat evolved, if humanity stuck to nostalgic view points like yourself, we would still be primitive hunter-gatherers. Because to them, civilization and farming were “still stupid new gimmicks.”

If it’s not controllable in Forge and Custom Games, then no.

If it would be enabled for standard Matchmaking, then no.

In some maps where there is bad snowstorms, motion tracker would be offline.
Or if I were flying a pelican it could loose control for a few seconds and do a nose dive and if I weren’t flying high, would most likely crash.
