Extras Menu: old trailers

I wonder if 343 will include all of the trailers (game announcements, e3 stuff, commercials, etc) that were released while leading up to each Halo’s release. Since they’re already going for the nostalgia kick, I could see something like this happening. If there’s space on the bluray available at the end of development, why not?

I would have loved to see the original plans they had since 2010(?) for the Master Chief Collection.

You can watch them all on the 360 Waypoint app. I assume if they make one for the Xbox One, that content might go along with it.

Unlike the 360, you’ll be able to seamlessly jump from the Master Chief Collection to Waypoint and back instantly without having to exit the game or any software. It’ll pretty much be like it’s included.

I don’t think work on the MC Collection started in 2010, at the earliest it was 2012 once Halo 4 was wrapping up.

Actually, I think they started on it just this year. I don’t remember where I read it, but someone said that after January, 343 saw the passionate response of the fanbase to something and some of their wants, and thus the MCC was born. And to be honest, it isn’t really all that farfetched if you think about it. Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary was developed in about a year. Saber Interactive handled the campaign and Certain Affinity took care of the multiplayer. Now with the MCC, Saber is helming the campaign again, Sequence is doing the terminals, Blur is doing the cinematics, which takes some of the load off Saber, another studio is doing the Halo 3 and Halo 4 ports, Certain Affinity is handling Halo 2 anniversary multiplayer, and 343 Industries is taking care of the Master UI and other multiplayer stuff. They’ve got enough studios working on this thing to get it done in a year.

I’d love this. I love rewatching halo trailers.

They have said in interviews that they’ve been planning this since shortly before or after Halo 4 launched.
