Today’s Challenge? Win 8 Oddball games. My Response - “AWWWWWsooooome! I need about 30 more wins to complete my Commendation! With Oddball being the Challenge, I have a WAY better chance of getting that selected. Then it’s just a matter of winning.” I don’t need Slayer wins, so Extraction is a moderate waste of my time.

I had an hour - played one round of Grifball to knock out the other Challenge, then headed to Objective.

JIP - Extraction
Oddball - Hurray! Oh, wait, an AFK, Loss. (Put AFK on ‘Do not want’ List)
Extraction all 3 choices - back out of Lobby immediately and try again
Oddball again - Yeah - Good organized opponents. Lose, but feel better about it.
JIP - Extraction - already down 3-0. Over quickly.
Wait 5 minutes for lobby to build a game.
Extraction twice + KotH - well, hey, I need KotH too, and don’t have a lot of time left before my hour is up, so KotH it is. Win!
*****In lobby recognize name - WHY IS THAT AFK FROM THE SECOND GAME IN MY PARTY??? boot him and set to Friends only… grrrr…

Extraction twice + KotH - 2 of the six players refuse to get in the hill, but rather stay outside and rack up K/D. Hang close for a while but lose.

I played Halo for ~50 minutes looking EXCLUSIVELY for Oddball, and only saw it TWICE. Got JIP’ed 3 times, and saw Extraction listed 9 times out of the 4 lobbies I had a chance to vote.

If Extraction is so all-fired popular - give it its own list!

and I hear that Battlefield 3 has a better playlist system - someone from 343i go check it out, because this is beyond “hey, try something new” or “the most popular game types get the most slots” and is becoming “you can’t complete your Commendations, because we want to troll you…”

I need the oddball wins for my helmet but alas 343 has other plans. At least this oddball daily challenge didn’t have to compete with the weekly challenge for wins in extraction. That was unbelievably short sighted to the point of knuckle dragging.

Yeah Extraction is way over done. Its just Territories, I don’t know why they push it so hard. Maybe because it’s their version of “territories”. None the less very few wanted to play it in H3 but it’s still highly weighted in H4. It should be KOH 45%, Oddball 40%, Extraction 7.5%, Team Regicide 7.5%. So basically KOH and Oddball would almost always be voting options and EX and REG could be a 50/50 between the two.

played for another hour - saw it once. decided I had enough Halo for one day.

I wouldn’t mind the Extraction so much if there were armor/commendations tied to it. As it stands right now the game type is enjoyable but I’d much rather be working toward something…

Since Extraction was added after the fact, there are no Commendations for it specifically. They are lumped into the Slayer bucket, like SWAT.

I am a Completionist, and like working towards something.

Oh - would love to see Team Regicide come back under Objective too - good call, Stitch.
