So why does the d pad serve only one purpose?

There could be any number of usefull tools added to the d pad.
1, I would love being able to thrust downward
2, direct nearby teamates somewhere (short range)
3, a taunt, to make fun
4, tell teamates to copy your actions (crouch when your crouching)

I want an objective marker in Warzone. Just like you press up or down on the D-pad in campaign for the Artemis/objective, I want to do that in Warzone. It would help seeing if my base on the other side of the map is being captured, or if there’s a boss somewhere that I was too far from to hear it get announced.
Sounds like the destiny control scheme lol
I’d love both taunts and being able to mark things for my teammates/fireteam.
I was just thinking the other day I find it really irritating how you can only see markers for what’s closest to you in Warzone and not for everything, but I also understand that some would find indicators for everything all the time to be annoying. How about have them both and you can toggle it with a direction on the d-pad? So I could switch to ‘informative’ mode and see all the things, then back to ‘minimal’ if I’m finding it distracting.
Just bring back the version you use in the Campaign. Up on the D-Pad marks something for your teammates (an enemy, a vehicle, a base, etc), maybe has your character say something about it (ex; “go take that Banshee, lets capture this base” etc)
And maybe pressing down on it would highlight where your teammates are? Not enemies obviously that would be OP, but being able to see where there are defenders in a base would be nice so you know where to stand to cover all the enterances.

Teabagging is an opportunity because of crouch being in the game. Taunts would be an additional feature. Two different things

I love taunt buttons. Such a shame they fell out of fashion.
Were I given the option, I would assign down on the D-Pad for something fun like to inspect my weapon like CS:GO, and I think having up be used as a “Tac-Com” like functionality from Gears of War could be interesting.
