It’s extremely popular and I know everyone would love for it to be permanent. Plus ever since Team Skirmish was removed, the Social side of Arena has been lacking a truly 4v4 competitive playlist. Extermination would be perfect for this. I really hope 343 makes it permanent this time around.

There is BTB. You know how competitive BTB can be.
Ehh I think that it’s up in the air. The few matches I played of it there was just a tone of players getting salty about it.
It is a nice mode if you liked Breakout but hate ranked matches.
Considering there is no population count it’s quite impossible to tell how popular it is. I personally didn’t like it at all. But I don’t see why some one would say they want a competitive social playlist. That defeats the purpose of social playlist.

It’s looking like people here don’t know what Social means when it comes to Halo. In Halo, Social means no rank. It doesn’t mean every playlist is casual. Just look at BTB and how competitive it is when you match teams. Yeah Social is more laxed than Ranked, but it can still be very competitive. Well mainly when it comes to game modes like BTB, Extermination, Halo 2 BR Slayer and Team Skirmish.

I have never considered btb has competitive. Social playlist only is as competitive as you make it.

No I get what you are saying. I know how that playlist can get pretty serious. I just don’t agree that it needs to be permanent.
It would be nice if it were permanent because I really don’t like breakout that much

Same here. Breakout used to be fun before the changes. Not only is Extermination like Breakout in some ways, but it’s even funner. Especially with the maps and how the games focus a lot more on map control.

Remove breakout put extermination every one happy by the way I like more extermination too

^^^ Especially with companies playing 8v8. There is competitve in social already, so why not expand on it?

What would you think of mixing it in with Breakout? I think they should merge. I’m assuming that the modes would appeal to the same playerbase yet I also think its important to not spread too many playlists around. Personally I think it would make it a really popular playlist.

Idk I see what you mean but me personally I just think if someone wants comp go ranked. If you didn’t care about your rank and played social then why care if you loose rank? You still get the competeive match you wanted? I haven’t played extermination in a while so I can’t say much on the playlist but it was ok.

Not true in the slightest. The only reason why I even bothered with Extermination this time was to see if it was true about being able to get relatively easy Bi, Tri, & Superfectas. But since I can’t get those medals to help with my last personal Commendation I don’t care for Extermination at all.
