Earlier this week when Extermination was first introduced I noticed a pretty neat little Easter egg on the map Alpha-Niner; there was a skull hidden in one of the vents. I was intrigued, and decided to see if I could find any on the other maps too. Several days of screwing around in forge later, and here we are; I’ve found them all. I’ve done a quick search of Waypoint and Reddit, and as far as I can tell I’m the first to find them (please correct me if I’m wrong). I’ll include a spoiler below with all the locations and screenshots etc… Some are pretty simple while others are pretty elaborate.
Alpha-Niner - I stumbled upon this one first. All you have to do is shoot out the vent in the center of the map, and you should be able to see it.
Face To Face - This one is definitely the simplest of the bunch. It’s hidden under the staircase on the red side of the map.
Remains - If you shoot the piece of hanging metal over blue base the skull will be revealed. This one took by far the longest to find.
Harbringer - For some reason this skull isn’t available on all versions of the map, so I’m not sure if this one is possible in matchmaking. It’s up in a little crevasse by the blue side of top mid. It might be possible to get it out with a grenade, but I’ve never been able to do it successfully.
Firewall - Again this one doesn’t seem to work on all versions of the map. To find this one just shoot all the green dots up by top mid then turn around.
Atlas - Much like the last two I’m not entirely sure this one works in matchmaking, and you may have to go hunting for certain versions of the map to find it. This one is by far the most complex, and my personal favorite. There’s a invisible switch on the middle console, and if you press it the ring in front of you will turn blue. Jump through that ring and the skull will fly up the pit near bottom mid.
Too bad we can’t pick them up and melee spartans with them. That would be fun.

That’s a pretty dope dicovery, and what’s this pink egg medal thing? Never heard of it, how do you unlock it.

It’s a forum medal that some of the older Waypoint users have. It looks like a Easter egg. I don’t know all the details hence me asking about it in my original post. You can find a image of it here.

Yeah for sure. I’m actually pretty surprised I even found the one on Alpha-Niner. Why I was looking up is a mystery to me.

I wouldn’t say it’s pink. Maybe just slightly less red.

My bad. Your right I probably should have posted about it on the official thread. Good to finally know though. I don’t really see why some of the older medals are no longer obtainable. It made for some great community events.
