The wording for the Explosives perk is kind of confusing:
Explosives alters grenade performance, increasing blast radius and decreasing grenade damage received.
So does that mean that it decreases your grenades’ damage in exchange for a larger blast radius, or does it mean that it gives you more grenade resistance?
Seems pretty clear to me.
Your grenades have a larger blast radius and you take less damage from grenades thrown by others.
At least that’s the way I interpret it. But I could be wrong.

I understand what the real definition is, but to defend the OP I can see where the confusion comes from. The way its worded could be confused with “The blast radius is larger but the damage dealt to the enemy is lessened”.
Does it work/help you while in a viechle?
It’s basically Halo’s stopping power. You’re forced into using it if the other players are.

The reduced explosive damage taken is global so even if your in a vehicle you take less damage but the vehicle does not.I though it was pretty clear in its description.To me it seems the blast radius effective kill point is increase by a few feet.The reduced explosive damage is around 15-20% it seems like, not allot but it may help in a tight situation.
I’ve always thought it was your blast radius increases, and the people throwing them at you, theirs decreases.
It does both which makes me chuckle knowing that it’s in Throwdown. If you increase the blast radius and make the damage taken less for every player then did it really change anything at all?
Plus I’m pretty sure a hog can take 3 plasma sticks when the driver is using it. I could be totally wrong though.
I’m not sure either. I have explosives and I swear it doesn’t work. People can kill me with grenades and I can’t! I don’t think it works. Anyone else have the same problem
