…feels weird to me.
Since 343 said that the worlds will be the biggest yet there must be much to explore right!
Say I wanna go out an explore the world of H5G, will I always have 3 others following me around like a tail?
Don’t get me wrong, I love Kelly, Linda and Fred, but it feels weird that they will follow me around wherever I go.
I’m not sure the worlds will be that big, I would be very happy to be proven wrong though. As for exploring as a team, I always play Halo alone for the first few plays, in fact I rarely play with friends in co op at all, but I have in Destiny, so I could be tempted.

Even in single player, your teammates will be controlled by AI and will follow you and your commands

Yeah thats what I mean, during your solo play.
As far as I know, Blue Team will follow you around like a tail whenever you feel the urge to go “off-course” campaign wise.
Just seems weird to have 3 AI’s following your every step.
Have 343 talked anything about what commands you can give your team? I know that you can tell the team to attack this, pick up that.
But what about hold position? In case you don’t want your team to follow you around…

Yes. There is a command to move them to a specific position.
I have already said this before. It will feel odd to have 3 AI following me all the time. You kinda know that nothing will happen to any of those characters during the campaign, maybe only at the end in the final cutscene.
There will be a command called “sit down bruh”
They will stop follow you then.
No, I dont really see the problem. We always had AI follow us, and they were never annoying.
(except for the marines that drive your Warthog away after you put it in a good spot and get to the gunner seat. God I hate those guys.)
Pretty sure they have theyre routes and dont just follow you blindly.

I don’t think anything will happen to the characters either. However, just because you need 3 AI to follow you at all times doesn’t mean that they are immune from being killed off in the story. Remember there are 8 characters and one point they are going to have to come together. 343i could shock us all and kill of half the playable characters towards the end of the game so that Blue Team and Osiris have to form a single unit.

This has crossed my mind, but the way I see it, we’ve had plenty of time as Chief being the Lone Wolf exploring the worlds with just Cortana along for the ride. I think we’ll be fine with one where we get to roll with a Spartan Team.
This really makes wonder what they’re going to do for Halo 6. Will there be squads still? If not, what happens to Blue Team? Will we be playing as just Chief again? If so … same question …
I’m thinking that there may be areas that require using your teammates to explore. E.G. directing a teammate to stand under a high ledge so you can jump on their head or something. In most situations your teammates will be following you closely, unless you find your way into a place that the AI can’t figure out how to follow you. Even then, there may be a mechanic that makes them teleport behind you when you get too far away.
But considering 343 has had 2 programmers working on the AI for the teams the entire duration of production, I assume there will be ways for the Team to stop following you.
Maybe you can say to them: “Stay here, i’ll scout the area!” or “Wait here” and they all wait for you to return to you or to command you to come to your area.
Yeah it will probably be fine, i suppose Im overreacting. Im just used to Chief being a lone-wolf and exploring on his own.
If 343 have separate people handling the AI i guess were in for a good surprise regarding the two teams.
