I just finished this game of breakout and something felt off… My ranking last season i believe was at most high diamond nothing near this games ranking so whats up 343?

Also had this game of swat a few weeks ago and it just shows you how simply easy it is to break ranking systems Two chams plus two bronze equal gold…? 10+2=3?
Ya agreed. Sometimes I get pretty good matchups but the other day me and my boys (4 of us highest rank being plat5) playing SWAT git matched with an onyx 1800+, a champ112 and champ2, because they were gaming with a bronze obviously on a dummy account (I say obviously because the bronze finished #1 on their team) shouldn’t playing with lower ranking players make the game harder for you instead of easier because you get matched based on the lowest common denominator? I.e. if your party has 3 onyx and one silver you still get matched with Onyx’s not matched with silvers just because one player isn’t up to onyx level.

Actually when im in dia and onxy and i see golds or plats i feel bad for their teammates because they are being deranked by no fault of their own.

That bronze/champ stuff has nothing to do with low population. That’s what those two champs do. I’ve faced them over and over, they roll as a party with two smurf bronze accounts at all times from what I’ve seen.

Exactly. I’ve run into this before too. They’re boosting their champ rating with easy wins using two smurf accounts. I’ve seen 3 bronze 1 players with 1 champion before too, and they all played like champions. Wasn’t even remotely fair. lol
i miss the true skill ranking system of halo 2 and halo 3
back when halo 5 just got released the system rank used to work way better than now. Probably is because of population and people playing with dummy accounts, but the system as it is right now it sucks

Yeah now its wins and it is really dumb.

As others have pointed out, this is the result of a playlist with a very low population. These champs are constantly searching for games and are in the matchmaking “pool” more often than casual players, and the system will eventually cast the net wider and wider until it finds them “worthy” opponents. There’s a hidden CSR system in Halo 5 as well, so maybe your hidden rank is better than you expect?
