What would you want to start with instead of the BR or AR/sidekick?
I think the camando and sidekick would be fun to try. Both weapons are hard to use over the other guns. I don’t like the AR being a start because it’s a bullet hose and I don’t like the BR either because it’s too easy to use and slow. I think the camando is a happy medium
If we’re talking about regular playlists then our options are limited. The only weapons that might work well are the AR, Sidekick, BR, Commando and maybe the Bulldog or Disrupter.
Commando starts would be a very interesting playlist. It exposes a lot of bad trigger behavior and would probably be frustrating for players who haven’t used it often, but I would try it.
I feel like people don’t even enjoy using the Commando, cause from my observation, most players avoid the weapon. Starting weapon will be the weapon used the most, so should be something somewhat enjoyable and not frustrating to use.
What other options do we have though? Stalker Rifle? Shock Rifle? Mangler? I don’t know how they would fit in Default game modes, but I do think new game modes featuring some weapons could spice things up.
BR + AR starts with everything. 
I’d like to see Commando starts experimented with across the board, but especially in BTB.
I would also love to see some alternative faction-based Slayer modes that replace everything on the map with faction weapons. Weapon variants can also be used to add extra variety and power to the match.
UNSC Slayer: Only UNSC weapons, spawn with basic Loadout.
Covie Slayer: Only weapons that fit the classic Covenant art style (Minus the Hammer), spawn with Pulse Carbine, Variant Plasma Pistol, Plasma Grenades.
Banished Slayer: Only weapons that fit the Banished/Brute art style (Including the Hammer), spawn with Variant Stalker, Disruptor, Spike Grenades.
Forerunner Slayer: Only Forerunner weapons, spawn with just a Sentinel Beam.
Also, Forerunner Slayer should absolutely be the gametype used for the upcoming Cyber event on Tuesday. Disintegrations and laser beams fits the theme of the event so well.
