Greetings Spartans!
Lately after realizing that there are now more options in the Infection Gamemode options, such as disabling the infected armor color, I was able to put together an experimental gamemode that deals with reliability and betrayal intensity.
This is called “Backstabber”, where the innocent must survive for 3 minutes with a pistol and find any valuable weapons they can find. For the backstabber, they must annihilate the innocent before the timer runs out.
The rules in this gamemode is complex, and I will explain how,
General:
-
No shields, only health at 500% without recharging. - Both innocent(survivors), and backstabber(infected) have normal stats including picking up weapons, grenades, and full use of vehicles. - All players have 1 life and must be extremely careful!
For the innocent(survivors): -
For every 10 seconds have passed, they earn 5 points; however, there is a penalty involved that will make you lose points. For example, killing an innocent (Betrayal) results in -50 points, while suicide is -100 points. - Then if there is a last man standing, that spartan has access to the radar showing where the backstabbers are, allowing you to earn 25 points per kill.
For the backstabber(infected): -
Backstabbers gains 50 points for every kill, and they must be stealthy without exposing themselves to others without risk of getting themselves killed by the innocent. - They also have access to an energy sword for a quick kill or assassination without question. - Killing the last man standing rewards the lone traitor 100 points.
There are several downsides to this experimental gamemode that I wish would have been featured in Halo 5: -
The ability to disable gamertag names in the gameplay hud, or change it to conceal the enemies from the red color tag(to keep the players annonymous, allowing the traitors to conceal themselves as an innocent. - Tell the game the round is over after all lives are gone and either the innocents(survivors) or backstabbers(infected) are all killed off.So just for the sake of enjoying this game, please ignore the gamertag names in the hud and pretend that you don’t know who the traitor is.
