I would rather have had the game delayed another year than this. See, if they want to lure us in with more content, they need time to actually MAKE that content, and in the meantime they should want us to keep playing the game. So when Reach came out, and I didn’t even HAVE Xbox Live, and I STILL put hundreds of hours into it for months, is that because they dripfed content or because they released a complete game?
I’m only 35 hours into H:I and the only reason I even have that much has nothing to do with their half-baked event. I just want to be good at the game so I’m putting a lot of BR practice in. If it weren’t for my desire to get better at this game, I would already have dropped it to play better games while I wait for H:I to finish development like so many Early Access titles on Steam before it.
Deep Rock Galactic was made by like 15 dudes and when it launched into EA it was a more complete game than this lmao.
I think the production of this game was dogged by mis-direction and confusion - I bet a lot of money was wasted.
I also can’t believe we are playing the multiplayer where they said all progression will carry over but they have not implemented any in game stats or are not showing them as they are not ready as of yet.
A very weak performance on 343. It reminds me of when Reach was released without a ranking system. It only had a progression system based on hours spent and not based on skill. A backwards step for a skill based game.
There are some significant issues with Infinite right now. If you’re going to release a title early, then it should be ready to roll early. I shouldn’t have to wait for the “actual release date” for the title to be fixed. That’s like cooking a dinner and then forgetting to season it. You can’t season your food after its been made, there’s already a bad taste in your mouth.
Now this wouldn’t be a problem if Infinite was actually still a Beta. But if you’re selling me stuff, then it’s not a beta anymore. So it is a problem: this is finalized content that they would have actually released to us on December 8th.
We have the past Halo games as benchmarks and expectations. The Halo community likes playlists, like to customize our Spartans, likes to have casual and ranked play, etc. So these things should be in the game already. I’ve personally already completed my weekly ultimate challenge and now I don’t have a real reason to keep playing until the refresh. I like the feeling of progression, earning gear. The Battle Pass has really killed any sort of continuity long term. If there was more choice, more playlists, ways to play the game, then it would be fine. I don’t mind the Battle Pass, but there needs to be a progression system that isn’t locked to buyable content.
There are a lot of issues with Infinite right now that must be addressed on or by December 8th, otherwise we’re all in for a long and bumpy road, just like 5 and just like MCC.
I can go on and on forever about what this Halo didn’t have at release. ANOTHER Example: Where is the ELITE character option in multiplayer. Basically every other Halo game had ELITES in multiplayer. Also, why is this Battle Pass basically Halo Reach armor. Its literally called “Heroes of Reach.” NUFF SAID, if you don’t agree than go back Halo 2 and Halo 3 and refresh yourself.
“The Campaign will not be here in a few days.” ARE YOU KIDDING ME! They delayed it again. Most people want individual playlists like all the other Halos. -->(everything on infinite is grouped together in like “Quickplay” and you cant choose what exact mode you want to play.)<-- We need more original content. The Battles pass is called “Heroes of Reach” and is literally Halo Reach armor.
You are missing the point. Halo 4 had elites and Halo 3 ODST wasnt even an official new Halo. Just look at the title. Anyways where are the ELITES in Halo Infinite?
Tell me again about how Halo 4 had playable elites…
And 343 has yet to make a game with playable elites, and even confirmed month/years ago that they would not be in Infinite.
So expecting them is kinda dumb.
