So, we all know the 360 games are having matchmaking shut off at the end of the year. There are people who still want to try and max out their rank on these games. I’ve seen developers give some old titles love by boosting the experience earned once the game isn’t played as much anymore. These games are hard to get rank in, especially considering Waypoint Challenges are gone for Reach, and there hasn’t been a double XP weekend in Halo 3 in a very long time. One good example of this is Gears of War 2. Not only did Epic have many XP events, they eventually made the game permanent 4x XP. Recently The Coalition reduced requirements for ranks in Gears 5. Now that the end is imminent, it would be nice of 343i to give a boost to XP. I would say 4x for Halo 3, Reach, and 4 would do well. Perhaps even more the closer we get to December. This would be much appreciated, and hopefully more people would play considering they’d have a better shot at maxing out. Besides, I’d rather play more MCC if I didn’t have to do all of this ranking in the older titles.
It would be nice for everyone who still wants to achieve these things sure, but I really don’t see it happening.
