expanding on helmet attachment customization

back in Halo Reach; I , like everyone else, loved having the ability to attach little add-ons to their helmets. however, I did find it disappointing sometimes that we were limited to only 3 attachment set-ups per helmet, and we could not use certain attachments with the majority of helmets. with the announcement that infinite’s customization being similar to reach, I think it would be a good idea to extend full customization to the helmet attachments. Instead of each helmet having only 3 predetermined attachment presets, imagine if we could use whatever attachment with whichever helmet. players could use any helmet and use any 3 attachments at the same time (as long as they don’t overlap or occupy the same space). if someone wants to use the rebreathers with Mark V, or Operator without that headlamp attachment thing (just for some examples) it would be awesome if they could do that.

I agree in principal with what you’re saying, but I can see it potentially creating issues graphically, since all of the helmets don’t have the same curvatures and mounting areas for said attachments. I think Bungie did things the way they did in Reach to keep any attachments from looking bizarre or unrealistic on the side of any random helmet. If 343i can find a way around this issue, though, I’d love to see universal compatibility between helmets and permutations.
