EXP earning is way too slow

i do agree that we need exp for medals, to reward the player for playing well, but i feel like challenges should stay as they reward the player for playing in a unique style, meant to open up the players comfort zone in the arsenal a little

Just to add my bit to this, though it’s likely been said dozens of times already, the xp boosts are the only things making the grind somewhat tolerable. Even then, once you get to a point where the only xp you’re gaining is from the “Play any match” challenge that drops in xp value, it becomes nearly pointless until the next day where it’s back to 300xp. 600xp with the boost.

What grind?

The XP is for the Battle Pass. And you can do that inside three months without even trying?

I pretty much only went for 2 weekly challenges. Played a single double XP.

It’s easy.

Although I do agree there are better ways they could be doing this. IT should be based on cumulative score (giving it a performance base). Multipliers for wins, consecutive days, completed games (not quitting), playing in different modes each day, and participating in events.

It would be easier if they had a leveling system like Halo 4 or Halo Reach. As of now no one cares about playing to win, only to complete challenges.:expressionless:

I think its because Microsoft expects (demands) players to purchase the premium battle passes in order to achieve the normal pace of progression most of us are used to. The premium battle passes will give you a bunch of XP boosters. You get 100 XP boosters with purchase, which will give you up to 100 hours of double XP - which in theory, that pace would equate to exactly how one would expect to progress.
This is what “free to play” ALWAYS devolves into. It would be one thing if you had the whales just paying for this stuff on the side, while offering players XP rewards for performing well in matches. But as it is, you have players not getting rewarded for killing sprees and triple kills- you’ll get the same XP forgetting 30 kills in a match as you would for getting 2.
And it would also be another thing if challenges would be refilled upon completion- you know, since challenges are kind of a necessary part of “challenge-based” progression. but is that happening? Of course not.

If you buy the battle pass and use the allocated boosts effectively you can reach level 100 in no time. Not to mention the amount of time to conplete the battle pass is far more generous then any other fps out there.

I pretty much nailed both game passes in less than three months (their ideal life span) without even trying.

Probably used 4 or 5 double xps.

Have over 70 challenge swaps left.

The EXP system is a lot of things. But it ain’t slow.

I used an XP boost every day until I finished the pass, which was quite a while ago, and I still have 48 XP boosts.

As a person with limited time an inability to just play everyday , and sometimes periods where I don’t play for a week, Battle Passes like Winter Update and FOMO LT Events/shop items are akin to a plague worth purging.

I gotta’ say, it was easy to knock out the weekly pretty fast? But I’m actually not sure match XP is effected by boosts. IDK. It feels weird and slow. Like I have to wait a week to get more progress, I guess?

Which is… Kinda’ okay, but dubious for player retention.

I think making the daily challenge a single challenge might be a mistake.

Hello, im new to playing Halo Infinite and i just now came across the forge mode. I was wondering if anybody knows how to group objects together in firge? And if so please let me know. Thanks

Match XP is affected by boosts. I threw on a double XP last night and I was getting 300xp per quickplay game and 500xp per BTB. That’s not including the additional, smaller 50xp for rewards each game. With daily being 500xp, that’s 1000xp if you have a double XP boost.
If you play 4 BTB games per day, you’re guaranteed to go up a lvl in any of the battle passes.

Bangin’, I’ll see if I can’t hop into some BTB today, should my challenges align.

I mostly got by and got to 100 in roughly a couple of months. I logged in at the beginning of every week, popped a 2xp, which was practically handed out like candy, and I was able to get 2-4 levels in just one day. The challenges are significantly less grating, so the challenges tend to add to the progression. If you spend even an hour a day playing, you can still get to 100 in less than 3 months.
