Does anyone know how long the EXP Ban is for Halo4?

Stop boosting, start playing and EARNING your XP like a real gamer - also, learn to spell.
yeah, im glad there coming down hard on people with the bans, the amount of afkers in the game is getting a little ridiculous

Right? I was playing with my friend yesterday and we had tons of AFKers. We were like what kind of shameless shell of a person AFKs for credits the second day the game is out? You play it to have fun. Credits are just the reward for playing well. You’d think trying to cheat the game the second day it’s out by intentionally not having fun would be an early warning sign of some kind of disorder or something.
If people ARE getting banned for boosting, why have the online cap…
I am sure 343 industries will raise/lift the cap on experience soon. In my opinion this was done on the grounds of equality as some people got the game days before actual release which would of gave them an unfair advantage.

Have you ever played EVE Online? It’s an MMO, where you fly big warships ranging in size from small frigates to massive battleships to even more massive dreadnoughts and titans. You have a character, but instead of leveling up like in WoW, you build skills. You have a skill queue with 24 hours available to train skills with so you don’t have to be logged on all the time to update the queue. You can put a pack of skills in as long as the last one on the queue starts inside that 24-hour period - the last one on the queue can, however, be scheduled to finish in days. As long as all your skills in the queue start within that 24 hours, you’re fine.
Why only 24 hours? A) It keeps gamers logging in, it keeps them playing, and it keeps them subscribing. There’s no point to the game if you’re just going to log in every month or so to update your skill queue, and B) it helps maintain a community. Every time you log in, even if it’s just 24 hours later to update your skill queue, there might be something going on that you wouldn’t have known about had you not logged in. EVE is an ever-changing universe going on almost a decade now.
XP cap is sorta the same - mostly, it just keeps gamers coming back. Some people will get cranky and claim they’re never playing again, and a few of them won’t, but most of them will definitely play again. People shouldn’t be jumping on a game, unlocking everything on the first day, and then never playing it again because they’ve suddenly finished everything in one go. So boosting isn’t the only reason that the XP cap is in place - it’s for keeping the game alive with both players and the community.
This bothers me. I don’t boost, but me and my friends do play Regicide competitively. Its tons of fun and we earn Xp too!

As long as you are playing the game and not idling, cheating and whatnot you should be fine.
I noticed a lot of afk players in Spartan Ops. I hope they get banned too.

Has your ban been lifted yet? I was banned for the same thing lol
only thing is, i havent been afk in one match nor have i boosted, cheated, mooded, etc. and i got an exp ban.
also, i havent played so much that it should exp ban me. i have a friend who is higher level then me and hasnt been exp banned and plays more then i do.

If everything you said is true, then hop on twitter and try to get a hold of 343. Their twitter handle is Halo Waypoint. Just tweet them and state your innocence.
Also, I’m at SR 37-ish, and I have played MM since election day. Hit the XP cap twice already (on separate days) and I haven’t been suspended which means rank and playtime aren’t the reasons why. Are you sure you didn’t leave for a few matches or boost?
PS- I have played Regicide with 5 other friends (not boosting, competitively) so I’m sure that 343 monitors the matches if there is suspicious activity.
All in all. Just talk to them and they will fix whatever your problem may be. They’re great people, just look at how they handled the launch day woes! And remember, Halo on.
