EXP and the Carnage Report

The carnage report should rank players within teams by best to worst score so performance is immediately obvious. KDR within Slayer for example would be a nice stat to showcase your overall contribution to the team. Similar skills-based metrics should be applied to the postgame breakdown.

I think this would also help make it more obvious to the devs as to how to restructure the EXP system.

  • Bonus EXP for wins is a no-brainer.

  • Applying EXP payouts based on your ranking within your overall team by again making your contribution within the Carnage Report more explicit. Ranking for each game would be dependent on the objective of the gametype and be tied to in-game scoring. e.g. kills for slayer, flag caps for CTF

  • Additionally attaching hard values of EXP to each medal awarded in-game would also seem like an obvious way of incentivizing good playing.

A lot of progression just feels arbitrary or contrived at this point. Just simplify it.
