Exile Big Team is Horrible

Long story short, Exile in Big Team Infinity Slayer is completely unfair. The map plays to Red Team advantage simply because their first spawns literally places them 2 feet next to the tank. And because this is infinity slayer there are little to no power weapon drops to use to take it down. The only way to take it down is to get an ordinance drop, and when you are getting killed 2 seconds in to the life its kind of difficult to get one because of this There are times where because the Red Team Tank would give them an extreme lead that it would be impossible for the Blue team to catch up. Something needs to be done, if not every player who is unlucky enough to spawn as Blue is condemned to not only lose, but suffer unnecessary grief.

The gauss hog spawns literally in the faces of blue team so they have an advantage too.

I agree completely. Whoever thought it was a good idea to give the most overpowered Warthog to just one team, and then give the opposite team a tank is just ridiculous. And even then, one team can easily get their hands on the tank, Gauss Hog and Banshee, leaving the other team with absolutely nothing to defend themselves.

It’s a symmetrical map, for crying out loud. Can’t the vehicle spawns themselves be symmetrical as well? Remove the Gauss Hog, Tank and Banshee, and the map will be ten times better.

Exile and Vortex both. They both have similar basic concepts behind them and both play the same way (ignoring vehicles).

Add the 3 most dangerous vehicles in the game to Exile and yes it is a pain in the -Yoink- to play if the other team gains a slight advantage.

I’m the opposite. It’s actually my favorite map for big team

I looooove the Gauss hog… But there should totally be 2 of them.

Same here. So far, I’ve never had a game on that map I didn’t enjoy apart from one that was down to lag, and even that was mildly entertaining. The alcoves and tunnels around the map give plenty of cover from the vehicles, enough to give you a fighting chance even if the other team has everything.

I would agree. I played a match of Exile. The match started with me spawning thrice into the sights of the Gauss hog. I couldn’t really say the rest of the match was very fun to play either. The map is really designed to be a smaller BTB map. Putting a tank, a Gauss hog, and a Banshee on the map doesn’t seem like it was a good choice.

This.

Work together as a team and you can win on any map. I’ve been behind good bit on every map and managed to comeback as a team and win the game.

Or if not want to work as a team, just quit like so many other players do when not getting the map they want.

Its childish and I see it all the time. Thank goodness 343i had the wisdom to go with join in progress. The immature quitters now do not effect me as much when not getting their way.

> I looooove the Gauss hog… But there should totally be 2 of them.

Should be 2 in every btb map.

Hmmm I usually plasma pistol the tank and then punch it in the -Yoink- till it explodes.

Exile is perfectly balanced by 343 for competitive play. Haterz going to hate and not adapt and instead complain about minor issues for such a perfect game. 343’s Halo has no flaws, don’t complain. Adapt. That’s not what the forums are for. We are showing them how ungrateful we are by complaining. The Gauss Hog should stay, it’s fun with all the craziness.

:stuck_out_tongue:

Weak.

Vehicles are quite easy to destroy in this game thanks to Ordnance and plasma pistol/plasma nade spawns. The tank owns the gauss…people on foot own the tank…

Play to your strengths and adapt to less than advantageous circumstances during the game and you’ll be fine.

I love this map and I don’t actually see a large unbalance in it, or even just a slight unbalance.

They should just replace all the hogs with the gauss…

The regular chaingun is about effective as throwing handfuls of pebbles at other spartans.

See, here’s the thing. If you spawn as blue, you need to work A LOT harder to keep up. Sure, if you’ve got decent teamwork and strategy, being on blue isn’t a disadvantage, but the fact is, if you’re on red, all you need is a half-decent player in the tank who knows what he’s doing, and you can literally cruise having half the map is covered. The fact that blue has to work harder than red to stay even is unfair.

Dominion > Big Team.

Thought from that i have played of Big team on Exile the plasma pistol is usually the deciding factor on whether you get destroyed by vehicles.

+10000 fanboy stupidity

Ive never seen the tank do well on Exile.

Its the Gauss hog that ive seen kick -Yoink-. My gunner buddie racked up 35 kills with it the other day while i drove around like a maniac.

The tank is a death trap. The second it starts to move, plasma pistol shots, plasma and regular grenades, spartan lasers and you name it all fly in its direction.

Maybe i need to play against terrible people to make use of the scorpion on that level, but as yet, ive never managed it…
