Seriously. I love dominion, but every time I play it is almost always Exile, with the occasional other games almost always being Longbow.
I am so sick and tired of these two maps. I hardly ever play on Vortex and Meltdown anymore.
it also doesn’t help that I want my believe stance but it is basically impossible for me to get a binary rifle because of the rotation.
there are only 4 dominion maps or 5 if you have the map pack. Can we please fix this by making Dominion only 2 votable maps pre game and making it so you can’t play the same map multiple times in a row. I really hate Exile and Longbow now because of how ridiculously overplayed they are…
Yeah I agree, there might as well be just two or three maps in H4 and it wouldn’t change much. They should put in a bit of code that tracks which maps have been played recently and only put out the three maps that haven’t been played recently.
Or do the H3 method where you don’t even get a choice, YA GET WHAT YA GET AND YOU DON’T THROW A FIT
I wouldn’t have an issue with it if it weren’t for the randomness of the resupplies across the board in Dominion. It’s my favorite gametype by far, but it’s frustrating how games can be won or lost from one team getting rocket launchers and sniper rifles and the other team getting loadout weapons and grenades. I’ve seen games where teams have gotten a full base worth of rockets on their resupplies back to back. That shouldn’t happen.
I actually like Meltdown and Vortex’s layouts, but the power weapon problem is even steeper there from what I’ve seen. The incineration cannon and binary rifle completely dominate the game and make the whole match a dice roll for who gets the best ordinances. I’m aware the same argument can be made against most modes in Halo 4 in general, but it’s still a huge problem.
343, I and many other love the addition of Dominion and think it’s an awesome successor to territories, but it needs consistent weapon spawns that suit the map’s flow and layout. I don’t get why each map doesn’t have fixed ordinances for each resupply. (Something like the resupply outside of Bravo on Exile is always a laser, the incineration cannon only spawns on the bottom Bravo resupply on Vortex, etc.)

I don’t get why they just don’t add the lower tier weapons and make them more common. That way you can get railguns and everything which actually take a bit of skill instead of the game giving you 3 BRs and the other team rockets.

maybe, but I don’t know how someone can enjoy playing the same map 3-4 times straight.
