“Exercises” to improve aiming consistency.

Ok serious question. Are there “exercises” I can do to improve my aim and make it consistent in H5? I didn’t seem to have this problem in H4. But sometimes it feels like the targeting is too fast and others too slow. I don’t want to go in and adjust my look settings every time I feel slow or fast. Let me know what you may have done to improve yourself.

Hmmmmmmmmm…
Ok. Do these with a grain of salt because I never do any of these and I’m also pretty bad at playing Halo competitively.
But you could do the following:
1 Always do some hand and finger stretches to have more blood flowing into them before and at various points through out your gaming session (to avoid carpel tunnel too).
2 Set your sensitivity high and then after every match drop the sensitivity a little bit. Keep doing this until you reach that “sweet spot.”
3 Always play with people better than you. You’ll lose a lot, but you’ll also be learning, instead of stagnating by playing against noobs.
4 Put a little tiny black or red dot sticker on your TV right in the middle. That way you can start training yourself to know where you are shooting without having to aim down the scope.

Dont forget me when you go pro.

It’s most likely related to servers or heavy aim which 343 didn’t completely eliminate so it’s probably not your aim that’s the issue. If you need practice, playing Octagon with someone can help.

What is Octagon?

It’s a small map that is decent to practice in with another person.

It’s a custom game where you are in a 1v1 against another person inside an octagonal box. Helps to improve your accuracy and strafing.

If i take a few days off its like i have to relearn how to aim, its awful.

Id suggest just playing some slayer custom game or am octagon varient before you jump into MM.

Aye, all you need to do is keep playing and keep refining your aim (octagon custom matches are the best, as already stated by the others). Heavy aim is a pretty major issue for a lot of folks, so take heart that you’re not the only one with potato aim in Halo 5. I myself used to have decent aim in previous Halo games and now can’t hit the broadside of a mountain.
