Anyone else ready to finally see some Halo Infinite gameplay? I know I am. Now the question is what will 343 show and what are expectations going into the event? Would you like to see just campaign gameplay? Multiplayer beta? Both?
Do you see Halo Infinite being delayed due to the pandemic? Personally, I don’t. However, if an extension in a period time to work on the game makes for a more complete gameplaying experience then I am all for it.

My cautious optimism prevents me from getting too hyped, but it’s fun to see people excited about Halo once again.
My assumption of how the year is going to go is
-July 23rd Campaign gameplay 8-12 minutes long. Also an announcement that the game has been delayed until 2021
-Gamescon or vidoc of the multiplayer and beta announcements for holidays of 2020
I’m in super hype mode right now! I am so excited for July 23rd!
This game is all I can think about at the moment. It’s even worse when I’m at work and bored lol. I decided recently to “go dark” in the sense that I unfollowed all Halo pages on social media except the official one run by 343 themselves and unsubscribed to all Halo Youtubers so that nothing about the reveal would get spoiled for me if any of it leaks before the 23rd. The only reason I decided to still sometimes visit the forums is because I rarely see anything related to leaks on here since it’s against the rules to discuss them so I feel pretty safe on here. But all I really wanna do is just scour the web for the tiniest crumb of info because I’m just so ready to see this game in action and learn more about it
July 23rd is the highlight of my entire year. I would say the release of the game is but we have no idea how good or bad the game will be yet so the gameplay reveal is currently the biggest thing of the year for me. I hope all the waiting and all the lack of info will be worth it when we finally see it. I hope this is the most mind-blowing Halo experience we’ve ever had so far

I suppose anything is possible so there is a small chance that the game will be delayed but Microsoft have said multiple times that they are committed to launching this game alongside the Series X this year. I don’t expect a delay of any amount of time, even if the game ships partially incomplete. I don’t want this game to be anything short of a full and complete experience, but due to the development complications caused by the virus, I would give 343 a pass this time ONLY if the game is at least about 95% complete and maybe only a map or mode or two were left out but get introduced in the next couple of weeks/months following release. Basically there would have to be enough there at launch to feel like basically a complete game to a pass from me this time. If there was no virus though, I would expect nothing short of a 100% finished game

The juxtaposition of announcing or revealing gameplay after a two plus year wait followed shortly by a delay a letdown in my honest opinion. I don’t think 343 or Xbox games studio can afford to do that for their biggest IP and what will be considered their alternative “E3 event.” That being said should there be a delay then I believe 343 will have a valid. Time crunches coupled with the pandemic would obviously be the reason. Still I think that Halo Infinite will knock it out of the park in terms of its presentation.

If infinite gets delayed, the XSX needs another big OOF launch title tbh.
OT: Just 15 days to go!
Slowly but surely, the hype approaches.
With it being so close to the launch of the game, Halo needs a strong showing at the event. Anything less than a trailer, gameplay reveal, and announcing the beta/flight dates will be a disappointment
I agree with Pfh7 I want to be excited for it and I am but not like I used to be. I hope it’s good and I believe 343I care, but they haven’t really show me much reason to be optimistic… But here’s hoping!

I’m pretty excited, but I’m also keep my expectations in check, don’t want to set myself up for disappointment. I think the game is still gonna launch this year alongside Series X. I don’t think MS is gonna let this game be held off until 2021.
I’m looking forward to it but I’m keeping my expectations low. I do this with every game.

They have already said it won’t be delayed.
I am hoping that 343 Industries will show about 10 or 15 minutes of gameplay footage from the Halo Infinite campaign levels. I am also hoping that they will announced that Halo Infinite will be coming to Steam.

Doubt it. It’s in MS own interest to release it on all platforms at the same time. XSX is sold on a loss, but they still want you on board after all! It’s harder to convince you buying the new console after you played Hi for a month already!

Agreed, and it’s already known it will get a free upgrade for Series X through Smart Delivery anyway. As for my hype ? It’s still firmly in check, I have too many questions that need answers, and I don’t think they’ll be answered on July 23rd.

What sort of questions?
I am hoping we will get a huge info dump on that date because we really are in the dark on a lot of things.
