Anyone excited for Halo Wars 2?
Or don’t like the 3rd person gameplay?
I cannot wait. I played the beta like crazy and I’m missing it. I never played the original so I picked it up to hold me over.
Very excited!
Very Excited for Halo Wars 2
Hyped to the core, it’s a good thing we’re getting another beta later on.
I honestly can’t wait, but with Dan Ayoub working on it, I’m not so sure. This is the same guy who sold us the MCC and went silent literally the day after it launched when we all found out it was broken.
I’m very pleased to see the results.
I’m hyped as well!

The most trouble I ever had with MCC was back when it launched it too a few minutes to get a game. never got the hate on the game. Works just fine for me.
I sure am, after all, rts is what halo was originally meant to be

Yeah, it works fine now and I love the game too, but I’m talking about when it first launched and up until it got (somewhat) fixed. Both campaign and multiplayer were completely broken, yet Dan had no problem getting up on stage to sell it to us. I just found it odd that after it launched he was nowhere to he found for answers. His twitter account had even gone silent.
So now that he’s up there trying to sell us on Halo Wars 2, I’m a little cautious, which sucks because I loved the original Halo Wars and I don’t want Halo Wars 2 to turn out terrible.
I so cant wait, im looking forward to it, i have pre ordered the Duluex version so i can play through halo wars 1 and then halo wars 2
Sadily no.
8 months before release they put on the market place all the information of what we are getting. 8 months before release they confirmed Day 1 DLC, 6+ months of updates with units and leaders for season pass holders (giving them an unfair advantage), and HW: Definitive Edition can only be acquired by getting the HW2: Deluxe Edition (the exact same -Yoink- Activi$ion is pulling off with Infinite Warfail and CoD4 remastered).
These shady business tactics already disgust me, as well as the fact no one brings it up, but I have plenty of other concerns.
Cutter and Anders look completely different and can’t get the same voice actors, so I feel like it is disgraceful to use them as characters again instead of getting a new cast.
The way units look and function does not make much sense to me either. I have a very difficult time imagining in Bungie’s Halo games a Nightingale and Shroud cloaking (and healing) units, the Brute artillery going from ground to air, as well as some others. Why the -Yoink- are they giving gravity hammers to jump pack brutes and acting like a siege weapon rather than a ceremonial object of high importance?!?
HW1 had the same problem as well (vampire, covenant anti-______ turrets, honor guards in campaign where they have no business being), but I hate to see these simple mistakes repeated.
HW2 takes place after “halo” 5, so the story already isn’t looking too good. Halo 3 still should have been the closer the the franchise since the ending was perfect, but based on 343i’s games, don’t be surprised if the Flood do not appear, and expect those lame as Prometheans no one liked to be thrown in there.
> But 343i has nothing to do wi-
Oh really?!? If 343i is not involved, than why does their name appear on it? They are no the publisher either, so why is their name on it? Because they will absolutely manipulate the game, but to an unknown extent. Time will to see what 343i want shoe horned in.
So hyped!! Also, I wonder if they are going to make a anniversary edition of Halo 3. That would be awesome
I’m excited for it, I wasn’t happy with beta because I had issues actually playing the game but this is why betas happen. I’ve always been a big fan of halo wars not enough to be good at it but I’m already back on the first game to get good
I know it’ll be slightly different but it’ll help me understand how to make strats ect when it releases.
I am extremely excited - the first game brought a lot of lore and additional looks at things, and now that Halo Wars 2 is going to be during the same time as the other games, it has a lot it can bring to the table
I’m really hyped! I bet this is gonna be good!
I’m nitpicking, but it’s not 3rd person.
Also, yeah I’m pretty excited for it. There are a few things that leave me cautiously hesitant to pre-order still, such as a season pass and Day 1 DLC, but based on the gameplay from the beta I feel fairly certain that I will be getting HW 2 upon release.
Very happy
I am desesperate

You’ve got some valid complaints. A few things though, I am glad to see the return of Cutter and Anders, their story was obviously not finished and I want to see more. Changing voice actors is common throughout all sorts of media, even in live action films (Dumbledore). Why would you throw a way a story line we want to see because a voice actor is busy. Im not a fan of the new look, but I get why they did it. The banished are a splinter faction of the covenant. Why would they operate in a similar way? Gravity hammers are devastating weapons, why reserve them for only a few brutes. Train your troops with them, make them more effective shock troops, and raise moral. “You are the stronger brutes, look at those weakling traitors. They are not worthy to raise a hammer” That sort of thing. It is a total rejection of the covenant. It helps separate themselves, so that brutes who have decided to leave the covenant have a totally different faction to join. Reject the ceremony for practicality. It makes sense. Atriox is obviously above any sense of ceremony, he wears a conglomeration of UNSC armor along with covenant tech. He takes what works.
I don’t know why people would say 343 isn’t involved? They own the franchise, what they say goes, especially for story purposes. You can’t just license the Halo name out and let someone do whatever they want. This is true for the games and the books.
Ive had fun with the games that came after Halo 3. Halo 3 ended on a cliffhanger. I don’t like those. I, and many other fans, want the story to continue
