This is bad when u haven’t been banned at any game ever and then within 36hours you get banned 3 times in one game. I don’t swear, I don’t hack or cheat, I don’t insult or even talk to other players and I don’t even camp… Those should be the only reasons to be banned from a game".". I left a few games for annoying people talking about family stuff and 1 for a baby crying and another for hearing the reverb from there tv and in game i couldn’t figure out how to mute. Then one cause my router got unplugged. I had to wait to play because of this and i found that so inappropriate I felt I should say something that was yesterday. Today I gave it another shot… 3 games in a row people left my team(would be fine with leaving as well to spare my k2d ratio) but it caused me to spend 12 unfun minutes each getting mutilated Mostly because I was scared of leaving and getting banned for another hour… By the fourth game this happened I had enough, I left the game and went and did something else for an hour… Tried doom and bozombies online. I put halo back in and… I’m banned!!! And this time no time is announced. This makes me very unhappy… Please look t my account and lift this ban and please change this policy… If I can’t leave a game for whatever reason without getting banned I’m going to just stop playing halo which really sucks cause I really like halo… I mean what if someone gets hurt near me or I lose power I don’t w

Ban related traffic goes here. The offenses that are considered ban worthy were announced prior to the release of the game and there is a clear warning that ‘matchmaking rules are in effect for misconduct’ whenever you select a playlist. The list of ban worthy offenses includes, but is not limited to failing to finish games, afking, and griefing. I’m a bit tired and not in the mood to count the DNFS in your history, but they are likely excessive. Every time you leave a match you ruin the experience of everyone else in that match; your teammates now have to face unfair odds and your opponents now are robbed of a fair challenge. You can’t expect to continue misbehaving and not be punished. If you don’t want to be banned finish as many of your matches as possible.
The length of your ban is only announced in the initial ‘banhammer strikes’ message. It’s unfortunate that there isn’t an in game timer, but a good guess would be doubling the length of your previous ban.
Real life happens to us all. If someone near me (one of my family, my friends, my neighbors) and I have to stop playing halo and I happen to get banned that would be the least of my concerns. The idea that you would be worried about a ban from a video game when someone is injured is disturbing. I realize you’re using it as a hypothetical in a vain attempt to make your case sound more valid, but still…it’s borderline offensive that you would put the a video game’s ban time into consideration if someone was hurt.
