I’m not sure if this has been posted before, so excuse me if this is repetitive.
A couple of people in the AGL and MLG community have been working hard on competitive game types, map tweaks, and forge maps. I’ve personally downloaded and play tested them all with friends and I must admit…they are fantastic.
In case you don’t know, file share DOES work, just in a limited capacity. Go to your file browser and simply search by gamer tag. (you will have to do this separately for map variants and game types, even for the same file share)
For game types, existing map tweaks, and some good competitive forge maps:

For some great forge remakes (awesome Lockout in particular):
Search GT: Big Papa Salot
Get to it, get into some customs and see how you like the adjustments. Also, Simplex is probably my favorite map on H4 so far. Kind of a mix between Midship and Wizard.
If you’re interested in keeping up with gameplay and map adjustments tune into mlgpro.com on Wednesdays at 6pm est for Halo Hour. It’s good stuff. Also, these maps and game types are geared for the competitive community, but I think the casual crowd out there might enjoy them as well. Anyway, I’m just trying to spread the word about these guys’ hard work. I’ve been having a blast thanks to them.
