I understand that it is through a Spartan Company but what are the details with that?
I thought I’ve read about everyone having to get ‘Master’ in certain categories… What does this mean?
I just would appreciate someone sorting this out for me.
Also, if you know who or where I can find various Spartan Companies that would work towards this goal would be appreciated as well. (I’m an Onyx in free-for-all if that matters at all)

This has been posted many times before on these forums but to unlock the achilles armour set there are 2 steps.
The commendations are connected to the spartan company that you join, and you work together with all the people in your company to unlock them. There are many spartan companies that have been started for the sole purpose of unlocking this armour, and if you simply search “achilles” in the waypoint browser at the top, and select to search spartan companies, you will find many that will accept you. You want to join a company closer to 100 people to be able to get the commendations at the fastest rate, or join on that is rapidly getting more people in.

Are you sure it’s complete level 3 of all kill commendations? Me and the rest of the guys in osiris believe that you just have to be at level 3 in all kill commendations to get the armour.

This awards you with the Achilles Armor. The second Mastery Commendation is awarded for getting all Kill Commendations to level 5. This awards all members of the Company the Achilles Helmet.’

Hopefully you’re correct then because mastering things like kills from the grave will take so much longer than other ones. And i guess we will find out next week if we all unlock the armour .

It has to have at least 4 people to become active so I think that’s the minimum Spartan company size

You must complete rank 3(be rank 4)on Spartan Company kill commendations for the armor and rank 5 for the helmet. Omega Black - my company - is quickly approaching the armor.

Do you actually have to participate to get Achilles? Or could you just piggy-back on a company?
How do you get it if you join the company after they already get it?

Most companies track there players and remove freeloaders, also you have to be apart of the company when they achieve the armor/helmet to get it.

If you’re in a company the minute they get the armor than yes, you can get it, but considering how hard you have to work for it I doubt you will find a company willing to let you piggy back without participating.

You just have to be member, but I’m sure your squad won’t like it if you’re not doing anything. You can’t get the armor if they already have it so you would have to leave and join a company that doesn’t have the armor.

My SC grinded hard for the armor and now we have it, now we’re grinding for the helmet. >:)

It works the same as the commendations you can earn with weapons, vehicles and game modes on your own. Complete level 3 and get a req pack, complete level 5 and get a better req pack for completing it. For spartan companies completing the commendations strictly tied to the company you unlock the armor and then helmet.

You have to be in the company when the commendation is rewarded. If you join just before they get it, you still get it, even though you’ve done nothing to help. Conversely, if you resign or are booted right before it is rewarded, you don’t get it, even if you contributed a lot.
I’m in a spartan company with level 3 of each kill commendation but I didnt get the armour
