Librarian: “Your evolutionary journey must be accelerated.”
Chief: “Can I defeat the Didact without it?”
Librarian: “No.”
Chief: “Then do it.”
How do you think Halo 5 and 6 campaign will turn out?

Also, after that scene, when you grab Cortanas chip (which magically appeared in this terminal instead of the one you dropped her in that the Librarian vanished", when riding down that elevator, Cortana flashes in the HUD of being Rampant when she says “But what I don’t know is what she did to you!”
Going rampant is knowing far too much and being overwhelmed etc etc.
So is she overwhelmed by not too much knowledge, but by being overwhelmed by not knowing what happened to Chief? Which, on topic, what the h3ll happened to chief? I know his evolution was put on overdrive, but what will happen in the next two games???
343i has done well thus far.
Fingers crossed multiplayer is better next time around.
Also, the scene afterwards, where Del Rio freaks out and disses Chief and Cortana, what if Johnson were present?
HAHAHAHA! Johnson would wreck Del Rio.
Just a thought I had after all these beers
I would say he is closer to obtaining the Mantle.
“Guardianship for all living things lies with those whose evolution is most complete. The Mantle of Responsibility shelters all.”
I think he is now genetically closer to the Ancient Tier 1 Humans like Forthencho. This could mean he’s stronger or wiser perhaps. I almost wonder if his hearing has also been increased. When he hears the Ur-Didact taunt him on Requiem and Cortana doesn’t hear anything, it could be caused by the Chief being able to hear frequencies no normal Human can hear. That’s just a theory though.
Genetics does play a major role in the future of Humanity though. You have the Mantle’s incantation above, the Librarian’s statement that our geneplan could have surpassed their own, as well as Halsey’s proclamation at the start of the game that the Spartans are our genetic destiny as a species.
> “Guardianship for all living things lies with those whose evolution is most complete. The Mantle of Responsibility shelters all.”
In that case, if the ‘Mantle’ were to exist in the Mass Effect Universe , it would belong to the Vorcha!

Uh oh, the Mass Effect universe would be a bit screwed then.

The Quarian’s deserve the Mantle more!
Anyway, I just hope that 343i will make the campaign;
A. Longer
B. More meaningful, including more exploration, more explanations, and so on…
And hopefully the multiplayer will be good next time…
Psh, they tried killing Geth. Evolution wouldn’t just be physical evolution I guess.
It seems to me like John got taller.
THE MANTLE OF RESPONSIBILITY
IS A LIE
The one who is above above all, who’s evolution is most complete.
That one will end in misery, with endless pain and unity.
The Mantle of Responsibility, where the strong torment the weak.
One species above all, where no one else can speak.
And when the gate is lifted, and the Flood arrives in swarms.
The Mantle of Responsibility, leaves failure to all once more…
Is it not implyable? Humanity must not inherit the Mantle of Responsibility! They must destroy it!
No creature is above another! That’s Precursor’s test!
We saw what happened to the Forerunners, they took the guardianship off all things upon themselves! The Flood destroyed them with ease, they used the very life thay they protected against them! If all life in the Galaxy had been equal, the Flood would have been driven back!
There is a reason that The Didact said, “The Mantle of Responsibility, for all things… Belongs to Forerunners, alone.”
And he was right, in some sense… The crimes of the Forerunners must stay with the Forerunners. For if the Flood return…
Nothing can stop them…
Nothing…

Shepard-Commander can! xD
This time he takes the green option to honor the Master Chief…

Holy mother of Self, I have never thought of it that way, Plot Twist!
Chief needs to destroy the idea of the Mantle as it is not a tangible thing as far as I’m concerned and the only being who personifies the Mantle and thus has dedicated every action ever committed towards the Mantle is the Didact. Therefore we must put an end to him and/or make him realize no species is above another, we are all equal.
