Self-explanatory: Everything you liked or disliked about Halo Reach. Then, was Halo Reach success for you? How about the community?
Only that we didn’t get to know the rest of Noble a bit better, or even see half of them that often. Other than that, not much to dislike about the game.
I liked the game a lot, even more than Halo 2 in my OP.
Reach was definitely a success, minus a few broken AA’s it was a fantastic game, story could’ve been expanded a little more but it was a great game!!
It’s my favorite game other than halo wars! The customization of armor and the introduction of armor effects changed the look and feel of halo. The multiplayer is perfection in my opinion, it has survived many downfalls, and is still alive today, even after 343i’s devastating matchmaking change. The story was well put and to the point, the graphics still are superior to those today, truly spectacular! Also the best thing, the ranking system, the ranking system of reach is incredible, sure, it isn’t that of halo 3 from what I’ve heard, not being skill based and what not, but in halo reach, I still find myself striving to become and Inheritor! I started in the summer of 2011 and I actually just reached Reclaimer yesterday! It really keeps a player enticed to become a much buffer rank. The interface brings close range and long range weapons in equal parts, unlike previous titles, and even new ones. I am a sucker for grifball, and the interface of halo reach brings my grifball experience to life! Halo 4 made it look overhyped but overall it offered little to nothing. Halo 3 grifball I do not know. I love Halo : Reach so much, I would not trade it for the Halo : Master Chief Collection, and I hope the Halo : Reach population keeps on living!

The Reach population will probably never die, heck Halo 3 still has a decent size population so there is good hope for Reach to stay alive.
armor lock
Personally, the only thing I didn’t like was the weapon designs and the Beam Rifle’s/Carbine’s absences.
Edit: And the BR and the appearance of the AR.

Yeah I agree
Though I did like the designs of the weapons
It bugs me when people say they hate it. Just because the dynamic of team slayer changed. The game on a whole is almost the perfect Halo game. Multiple Spartans in one game for the first time in history. REAL Spartans too, not ODSTs repurposed. (Spartan IIs and IIIs are 10x more bada$$ than Spartan IVs. Noble Team actually does cool things in campaign cut-scenes versus Sarah Palmer doing absolutely nothing but insulting Chief.
Multiplayer was great in my opinion. I agree bloom takes away from the BR dominated Slayer past but it did actually help balance out the weapons more. SWAT on Reach is still my favorite thing to play but Anniversary Classic is what Reach should have been at the start.
It had tons of different playlists back in the day, sad it doesn’t have them anymore. Would like to see it on Xbox one with bumped up graphics and ZB Slayer as default, but I’d take a 1080/60fps port over.
It seems unfair that we’ll soon have every Halo FPS on Xbox One except Reach.
I enjoy more the multiplayer of Reach than the multiplayer of Halo 4. The weapons and the servers are better in my opinion

Actually, Spartan IIIs are know for being expendable. Go read Ghosts of Onyx. Spartan IIIs, which is what you were in Reach, were Spartans that were sent to die. They had one mission and it was almost always a mission that no one could survive. If their mission was to blow up a building/planet, then there was probably no evacuation plan because it wouldn’t be plausible due to the hostile territory they were entering.
Spartan IVs are supirior to Spartan IIIs, but Spartan IIs are the way to go. The fact that 343 had to even make Spartan IVs should tell you that they have no plans on going back to good Halo games. It’s sad really.

How does a logical progression of the Spartan program in the lore have anything to do with making good games?
I loved Reach. It was my second favorite in the series, besides Halo 3.
Although, I did not like the absence of the Carbine, but the DMR was welcome in my opinion.
The thing I hate the most about Reach, and what’s slowing destroying it, is the community.
Assassination Tower.
'Nuff said.
Personally, Halo: Reach was my favorite of all of the Halo games. It played like an epic movie. In fact, I kinda of wish they had made a Reach movie after the fact. It’s just such an epic game overall. Infected was the most legit game mode of all, team snipers and DMR’s were up there too. I really enjoyed the world itself and all the graphics of the game. Loved it so much. Forge world was freaking dope af too.
I thought the story could use some work but it was still a good story. Noble team needs more depth, because I literally just met them, started fighting the Covenant and then they all started to die off. Barely any character arc at all. The armor though, that was probably the best looking armor in any halo game to date, except for Master Chief’s H4 campaign armor ( I really like that armor and I wish I could get it in the multiplayer, not the stupid Mk VI GEN 2 that is in the game,). The Marine/ Trooper AI is some of the worse I have seen in any game I’ve played, similar to Halo 3, though not as bad as Halo 4’s Marines. I guess Halo 2 still is the pinnacle for friendly AI development. Most of the weapons looked awesome, although the tactical Assault Rifle looked different than I’m used to. Not a bad different, just a weird different. Multiplayer was fun, but the inclusion of Saber Slayer would’ve been mind-blowingly awesome. The game just looks like it belongs to the timeline it is based in. Like an HD remake of Combat Evolved ( not the anniversary. The anniversary’s looks are based off of Halo 3 and Halo Reach.) Overall, it was good but could’ve been better.
