Everything that needs to be fixed in Campaign

The list first, then the details:

  1. Co-op campaign. Enough said.

  2. Weapons are over-balanced, nothing feels powerful…except the grappleshot

  3. Bring back executions and maneuvers.

1.Co-op details: I know it has been announced that it’s coming in 6 months, but I have to reiterate what a huge mistake this is. I have dozen of friends that are veteran fans and none of them are buying the campaign. When I caved to buy it my wife even said “what do you mean you’re just going to play it by yourself, that doesn’t make any sense!”. Co-op has been the pillar of halo campaign since 2001 and I was stunned and fairly depressed upon finding out it would not be apart of launch. I’m afraid the magic will probably be lost by the time it comes out in may without some incredibly amazing content to go with it…

  1. Weapons: I used to grab every weapon I ran past as I found them all to be fun in their own way, now I rarely bother as I find most weapons to be no more effective if not less effective than AR, BR or Magnum. The main problem is that most of the time the grapple-shot is the most potent weapon, which makes long distance weapons less practical or if you have them as alternate you just don’t use them much. Also more potent weapons (rockets/snipers or even crowd controls weapons) just don’t have enough ammo or punch to make it worth picking them up. Halo games have always been loaded with devastating weapons with tons of ammo and, while I understand balancing is important, as a veteran who always wanted to mix things up, I have no desire to use 90% of the weapons in Halo Infinite. This also extends to multiplayer.

  2. Executions + maneuvers (when I say maneuvers I mean thruster dodging etc). These to were aspects that 343 has been adding since reach that I really loved. Halo 5 had the most fluid movement to avoid AOE and melee of any halo game so far and what a broad bank of executions it had too. Why did all of that get thrown out? The thruster dodge as a cool-down ability is completely useless. If there’s a grenade or a vehicle that you need to avoid you need to press a sequence of 3 buttons to activate it…by that time you’re already dead! Make thruster dodge a single button default ability (and make it default ability in multiplayer) and bring back executions.

My last comment would be that it feels like Halo Infinite is really Halo Grapple-hook-by-yourself. It feels like all the focus is on the grapple hook, which don’t get me wrong…is super fun, but after a you start to say “hey I can’t do this, I used to have this and that etc…and I could do it all with friends” it makes me wonder if I’ll actually bother to play Infinite campaign again, something I used to do over and over…

how about we dont bring back executes and say we did. Executes were a terrible addition to the franchise

For that matter so was every armor ability added in halo 5… screw those rocket boots, worst idea. its fine how it is as an equipment but making it a one button thing thats always on, screw that
