I still don’t understand why they are using the older H3 models for the AR and Magnum.
They’re not the Halo 3 models. In any case, the Halo 3 models looked almost exactly similar to the original AR and magnum anyway. Why are they still using the Reach shotgun? I don’t know, maybe they just thought it looked cooler.
Because they look almost identical to the originals?
And they aren’t the same models, the Anniversary magnum looks noticeably different from the Halo 3 one.
Everything looks great in that game and I haven’t seen anything that makes the game look bad.

If they aren’t H3’s model then why didn’t they use the Reach model. They are pretty much the same gun it just looks way better.

I never said it looked bad, it just doesn’t make sense to have every model from Reach imported into the game except the Magnum and AR. Even if they aren’t the H3 models they still look about the same.
I was hoping they’d keep the Reach models for the AR and Magnum, but they didn’t. I also like the Halo 3/Halo 1 version of the shotgun better. I pretty much got screwed on all of it.
Not that any of it is bad.

And the stupid thing is that the shotgun is a WAY more different model than CE’s. Reach’s AR and Magnum are at least closer models.

No, they are not the same gun. That’s like saying the DMR is the same gun as the Battle Rifle. They look similar and do the same job, but they are different guns.
People were annoyed that they were using the Reach Assault rifle so 343 changed it. The problem is now is that they are using the Reach shotgun which is also a different shotgun to the Halo CE one.

True, if anything the shotgun is the most different IMO.
I have no idea what you’re talking about…
At first, the placeholder for the AR was essentially the Reach AR, but it has since been changed to be a remastered, completely original Halo CE AR.

They are going for the classic 60 round per mag, bullet spewin’, blood pumpin’ MA5B Assault Rifle from Halo Combat Evolved. When you get Anniversary switch to classic mode when holding an AR and you’ll see what I’m talking about
