Please have an option to turn off boss health bars. It’s annoying and completely unnecessary.
Seems like vital info imo.
Maybe the bosses are complex enough to warrant a visual information system like this. If the thing is hard to kill, I’d like to know how close I am to finishing it.

It was never there in any other Halo including the boss fights in Halo 2. Nobody asked for it then and I doubt anyone asked for it now.
still needs a toggle, that kind of immersion breaking crud is usually in mmo / rpg games.
I’m with you, I like to tone down the HUD in single player games so I hope we can remove hitmarkers and health bars.
I usually have mine set to dynamic or off in most games.
Cool for those that want it though.

Doesn’t look like a complex fight it’s just a Brute with more health and stronger attacks I’m guessing. No different to the chieftains in H3.

And those fights were awful…
Multiple threads feature the request for boss fights so that’s incorrect.
As it is i dont see a better way to introduce named bosses in gameplay than via a health bar and name bar.
Hardly something I’m delighted to see but providing impotence info to the player is way more important than immersion in any game in the end. Sure they could try to be diagetic but in a high octane fire fight that might just obscure relevant info.

Kinda just look like bullet sponges to me

Maybe not that one in particular, but I’m 110% certain that this little brute isn’t the only bossfight.

yet no ones asked to not have them, either.

The quality of the boss fights and/or people asking for boss fights is irrelevant. I am talking exclusively about health bars.

I just did right now. And so have other people in this thread. And many people did when Gears 5 added unnecessary health bars too.
A health bar can be a very useful piece of information for the player. With that said, I see no reason why players shouldn’t be given the option to turn off health bars if they so wish.
EVERYTHING LOOKS AMAZING BUT…Explosions are still bad.
Also I noticed that the campaign doesn’t have that horrible aura outline effect on enemies, so why do we have it on multiplayer. Obviously it isn’t necessary.
I loved the health bar

Bosses in Halo 2… lol… You mean sucker punching a prophet 3 times and playing peek-a-boo against a gorilla for 30 minutes?
I think if they plan to use health bars, it must be either s sponge killer or a complex boss. Also, health bars dont break immersion. You need to play other games, man.

Why? is like darksouls… is cool
I like it tbh, but the option to turn it off would be nice. It makes the battle feel more powerful, like the enemy you’re fighting is so strong it needs a heathbar
Toggles, toggles… you can’t put a toggle for everything.
