Everything is too dark?

I’ve seen this addressed a few times in regards to map lighting and team advantages on Blue side due to low visibility. But I feel like it’s more than just an issue with certain maps. I feel like the entire beta released with it’s Bright/Darkness ratios completely off. Even the menus are too dark. If you’ve taken the time to go into character customizations I’m sure you’ve noticed that some of the different hues of armor colors look exactly the same as the others or the same tint because the display is entirely too dark.

Anyone else with me on this that it isn’t just the maps?

i think they do that in betas so u cant realy see that the graphics arnt refined yet. Notice how the armors are sorta smooth and not realy done? But as far as the maps i aggree

Spartans certainly do NOT pop out on the screen like they should. Clarity should always be a priority in a competitive game.

I know it’s a beta…but these graphics are hard on the eyes and look worse than some 360 games.

No they don’t.

Agreed.

The beta runs at 720p therefore uses the Xbox One upscaler which is known for darkening the black levels.

It’s just the beta guys, I’d rather a smooth running game now with ‘alright’ graphics

Then when the full game comes out it’ll run functionally AND look good

Oh I have no doubt it will inevitably be addressed, I’m just throwing it out there that it isn’t just the maps like some people have been suggesting, it’s the entire application.

Blue blends in really well with a lot of the areas of the map. Easy to lose them when -Yoink- hits the fan.

Totally agree with the comments. Many of the maps are just so dark that the blue team blends in really well. I find myself chasing shadows at times

Agreed

Yeah, even in Halo 4 the lighting on multiplayer maps was bad, way too harsh of a glare on maps like Solace or Adrift.

Bungie understood that visibility was a key component in multiplayer.

I would also suggest checking out your tv settings. I thought the same until I went through and properly configured brightness levels and such.

For multiplayer I can’t understand why so much time is wasted on textures & finishes when we just need a good play space with optimum visibility.
