Hi there!

Some users on this forum are breaking down, wetting their pants and crying in the corners, spouting off that “Halo is dead!” and “I don’t want CooooooD!” over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over like it’s the apocalypse for Halo.

And their worries are not pointless! And I’m going to list the reasons why they’re so scared right now! Are you ready? You ready? Kay, here we go.

PROGRESSION SYSTEM. Oh the horror! HISS!
Is 343 out of their minds?! Implementing a system that allows players to unlock new tools as they get points!? This RUINS HALO FOREVER!! …Even though all of the tools are on about the same level of usefulness and will ultimately come down to preference once you get… all of them…

Well how do you buy them?! SPARTAN POINTS!! …Because the name sucks?

Okay, okay. How about the inclusion of… ARMOR ABILITIES?! No!! Making gameplay more dynamic is a terrible, terrible thing! …There are going to be Classic Playlists from the very start though… okay, whatever! Halo 4 still sucks!!

What about SPRINT, hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm…? Surely players will run away from encounters, and break map control and flow!! Wait, what’s that? Sprint is disabled the moment the player using it is shot?
…

AND SPARTAN OPS?! Be… Because… eh… the name sucks…?

Well try custom LOADOUTS! This is an abomination! I mean, being able to CHOOSE what mid-tier situational weapon you want to spawn with, making the gameplay become more dynamic and fast-paced, eliminating the chances of camping players?! Wait, hold on…

And RANDOM. POWER. WEAPON. SPAWNS. Oh dear lord, now I can no longer camp at the power weapon spawns! It forces me to actually get out there and keep my eyes peeled! No! What if I’m approaching a power weapon that spawned across from me, and a player takes it? Do I actually have to FIGHT for the advantage now?!

And the worst of them all… BLOOM IS GONE AND MOVEMENT SPEED AND JUMP HEIGHT HAS BEEN INCREASED! …oh wait…

WELL I’M STILL RIGHT. Halo is dead! Call of Halo 4 Future Warfare = CoD and Reach (somehow) I’m canceling my preorder!! Anyone who says otherwise will receive a message demanding a 1v1 in Halo 3 YAYEAH.

You forgot the fact that jet pack is coming back along with X ray sight it makes me want to die in my own vomit to hear this. Did they not get the fact that Reach killed Halo? Oh but lets bring those awesome AA’s back that’s what the people want. What are they brain dead or what, hello wake up you idiots take Halo 4 delete it and start over.

Yeah after hearing all that stuff confirmed I’m not even going to buy the game anymore which sucks because I could have sworn 343 promised to make it more like halo 2 and 3.

I agree with what you say fundamentally. People are too trigger-happy and should actually play Halo 4 when it comes out before declaring Halo dead. But there are those who voice their concerns in a civil manner. All this thread to me seems to be a complaint against the people who complain. Doesn’t really solve anything.

I haven’t been keeping up with this forum recently, but I’ve seen it a million times before that people seize on one phrase or twist words or assume what something is and base their opinions on that, and essentially do say “(Game X) is dead FOREVAH!” without the full details. That is what makes them irrational and over-emotional.

In this thread, I sarcastically boasted about how Halo is dead. It is toward those people who constantly jump to conclusions. People who discuss their concerns about Halo 4 do not say that, and this thread is not directed toward them. People who would discuss their concerns for Halo 4 not jumping to conclusions would be smart enough to wait until they’ve played the game to judge its gameplay for themselves anyway.
