so if u dont buy special edition or the halo xbox u have to wait for unlocks, like me ive been level 70 for weeks now, what do i do go buy black ops and wait for u guys to email me codes by the 30th? does 343 know how lame that is? lets just put a cap on people who pre ordered halo and who play before this date, and well give all the unlocks to people who spend more money, nice marketing skills. I understand your frustration. However, a question: can you not enjoy playing for fun alone and for its own sake? Did you enjoy multiplayer gaming before incentivization like perks were introduced? This is not an attack or judgment, but merely a question.
There’s a perfectly legitimate reason that LE costs more. By your logic, LE players would be paying up to £20 more than SE players for exactly the same things. Makes perfect sense.
Also, the word “needs” in your title needs no apostrophe, since it does not (and would not) denote possession or a contraction. I know it’s only a minor detail, but it bugs me all the same.

i bought halo 2 legendary, not because i got more content out of it, but because i wanted to say i had it. LE or collectors aren’t meant to be different game experiences, you’re basically saying the special edition is the full game, and the standard copy isn’t, that’s historically not how it works, and for good reason.
do agree kinda annoying and im the type of a guy if i play i wanted to feel rewarded, but if i end up unlocking everything in the game i dont mind about the xp anymore. i would still play it. but for now it sucks getting stuck once i reach 70 today… wish all the xp that wasnt getting recorded gets recorded later date which would me it fair… but i cant really complain im loving the game.

LE only provided early access to features that would eventually be unlocked for SE players, I know they aren’t two different versions of the same game.
FYI, I bought the LE version for the early access to specialisations and levels, although I may as well not have bothered, since I haven’t had much time to play, so I’m still only SR-43. 
However, I do love how aesthetically pleasing the casing is, not to mention all the extra content that came with it.
Although I did learn not to bother preordering anything from Amazon again. Having ordered it in June, I still received it two days late.
i have been playing with my friends we are all level 70 well some, its the only game i have and enjoy everything abouthalo i bought a xbox just because of halo, so i would say i do make the best out of it. everything ive unlocked all the xp i have got from all sorts of stuff i will not see one bit of that and i know, but when you got all that and knowing this cap is not cool and just because buying the game is not enough now these days and everything that should be in the game when u buy instead it is spread out with all these things to get more money, map pass, limit edish, etc.
i should had said it feels like ive been 70 for weeks now since this pro does not relize when someone is being sarcastic like that pro abpve me
