Campaign: Looks great.
Multiplayer: What happened? We were promised competitive maps and some mlg players said one of the maps was not built competitively and was terrible in that aspect. AAs. I think it’s what I’ve iterated the most. AAs are not Halo.
Despite my feelings for the new changes I will play the game and find out if I am wrong.
And the campaign looks amazing.
Looks good, how it plays? I will see you in November regarding that. I think its unfair for both the supporters and haters to say that the game will be awesome/suck since they haven’t played it. However going by the word of people who have played it, halo 4 seems promising.
This board is pretty much dedicated to this topic of conversation.
It’s obviously not going to return to Halo’s roots like 343i tried to claim.
I’m so sick of Reach’s -Yoink- host selection that I’ll probably get COD BO2 instead, Halo 4 is using the same -Yoink- networking as Reach FYI.
I personally love every Halo game so far (including Reach, purists) so I don’t see a reason to not like what I’ve seen so far on Halo 4.
Multiplayer
I think Halo 4 will be a new Halo experience and not one rehashed with more of the same classic maps (that fail to live up to expectations) or 3 shot kill pistols. I am skeptical of a few new mechanics of course but not to the point where (as some other vets) go as far as write the game off. Not too happy about Jetpack and Camo returning on spawn and Pro vision has me a bit worried as well. Infinity Slayer isn’t so bad as that is one of many flavors to indulge in but it is interesting with it’s point system i won’t lie.
It’s going to be funny seeing how “Reach was so much better” than Halo 4 by the very same detractors (which btw, i heavily criticize Reach to this day). Reach just wasn’t a balanced game with good ideas ruined by sub par implementation. So i am going to be quite baffled when Halo 4 inevitably gets knocked down for not being good as Reach (lol).
4 Shot BR is going to be a must though. Since 343 is still in the polishing stage, retuning the sandbox before November 6th shouldn’t be that difficult to do over the remaining five months or so.
Spartan OPs has a lot of potential and while information and footage was somewhat limited to get an accurate measure on what to expect, what was seen impressed me. Though i would save final judgement on how the story elements play out and if the gameplay would become stale after a few week.
Campaign
Master Chief and Cortana return to the front stage for Halo 4. The new enemies look wicked and i can’t wait to see what other surprises are in store for us. To be honest, i was getting tired of the side stories and less focus on moving the universe forward. It’s nice to games like that once in a while but to say Chief has been gone far too long would be an understatement.
The graphics are amazing even on the very ancient hardware of the xbox 360. Skybox -Yoink- and lush jungle environments are just the tip of the ice berg. I am pretty scared that 343 has stated the graphics are not finished yet either. Representative sure but still…O_O.
Would like to see my PC brethren to get a good port for gaming rigs.

Yeah if everything is implemented right it will be good …
Skeptical about multiplayer. I guess campaign looks nice though.
im ok with everything so far except the soundtracks
Campaign - I haven’t even played it and I already know its going to rock new standards for future Halo games.
Multiplayer - Love it. All of it. Why? I know how I’m going to counter certain gameplay styles already.
Spartan Op’s - I’m going to miss firefight, but this is DEFINITELY a worthy replacement.
