Since Halo Infinite is being built to be a platform rather than a game, and will be the basis for which future installments are built upon, I have been curious on how ‘‘flexible’’ Infinite will be in this regard. While I am interested in the idea, and think ( if done properly) could be a great way for us to get faster updates and new content for Halo while remaining in a fimilar setting and could really help Infinite improve over time, and maybe oneday we could have Halo back to the way it once was or atleast as close as we will likely get through expansions and updates, my one main concern though is how indepth can they go in adding new content. I know adding things like "New weapons, vehicles, armors and even enemy variants should be possible through expansions, but my one main concern is if a entire player model could be added and given the same treatment the current one is being given.
Now ever since Halo 2 I have loved playing as an Elite, it has just been my preference over playing as Spartan’s and sadly Reach was the last true game (outside of Halo 2 Anniversary) the has let me play as an Elite, though it was very limited, and a lot of the time I was stuck as a Spartan regardless of my choice. Now myself and I am certain a fairly large group has been begging 343 to include playable Elites, since Halo 4, and as of yet, have still not gotten that request fulfilled. My question would be is, if it would even be possible for playable Elites to be added to the game through a post launch expansion if they are not present at launch. My main concern is if they can’t be added, and they are confirmed to have yet again not returned, is that will mean then that I will have to except they will never return. I don’t want to wait 10 more years for the hope that once Infinite is done with, they will release another game that could have playable Elites. My only hope now, if they are confirmed out, is that Infinite would be flexible enough for them to be added in, if they are not already. This is really my only concern though. I still like the idea, I just hope it does not come at the cost of my favorite player option.
With that said, what are your thoughts on it, and do you have any worries or hopes about future expansions and updates?

It will be a great service I am sure. I have played over 16,000 Halo multiplayer games since CE, so as long as we have classic multiplayer matches I will be happy.
