Everyone Will Use Promethean Vision

It will be 343’s Armor Lock.

Good players. Bad players. Everyone needs and wants to see through walls. Why? Because you can SEE THROUGH WALLS with it. Good players are going to use and abuse it to death. Josh Holmes is under some delusion that good players don’t use OP crutches. I don’t know where he came to that conclusion but he couldn’t be more wrong.

The first Title Update will remove it from MP.

All game every game all you’re going to hear is the audio cue that you’re being pinged by your opponents using Promethean Vision.
And the Halo playing world will wonder how this made it into the MP game just like Armor Lock.

I don’t know how this stuff makes it out of the brainstorming phase of development. Its really unbelievable.

It doesn’t give you eyes on the back of your head, people can find you using the sound and get you from behind while you are distracted looking for people

We haven’t seen how we unlock the Promethean Vision yet.

I’ll be using the shield or invisibility. Prom vision is too slow too use in such a fast pace game. It only shows through walls that are near you. I’ll just run around the wall. lol

I hate to say it… but I’ll be using Camo most likely; that or Thruster pack.

You can’t see threw walls that’s not it’s purpose 343i confirmed that what don’t you understand confirmed confirmed confirmed

This thread is useless. I won’t use it, therefore not everyone will be using it.

How is Prothean vison OP? I’ll most likely use it some but I like the look of the Hardlight shield!

Still cant get used to camo being an AA…doesnt seem right.

All the MLG guys were saying Promethean vision is OP, and that is radius is too far-reaching. They should probably nerf the radius a little.

Yeah that shield looks interesting.

As long as it’s got a long cooldown it’ll e fine

Doubt it.

There was a 1v1 playlist in Halo 3 for a brief period of time. While Bungie was trying to balance it, they added a waypoint marker to the person in the lead.

Even though a player has an idea where they are at, it was not enough to get people to kill the player in the lead because most players would try and force them into an area where they got an advantage.

Instead of a marker, they got a crappier version of it. On top of that, they will know someone is coming because they will hear a sound when they are scanned. Even though you got a better view, they fight will not instantly become super easy because of it. You will still need to kill them, and you just told the enemy you are coming.

Being able to see through walls won’t do you any good. It will barely affect gameplay.

All iv’e got to say is, how will this have that much of a game changing effect? We already have radars the only way this ability will be useful is for spotting crouched or stationary enemies that are camping around a corner. Nothing that breaks the flow of the game really.

I heard a few people that played H4 say it was OP. I’m guessing it may be toned down by the release date.

Everyone? Really, tell me oh time traveler what hath thine eyes seen?

Believe me, I know Camo has its OP moments. I hope it received a proper nerf.

If you’re a good player, who is efficient with your sensor, you know the map well, and you’re a good shot… what does looking through a wall while giving off your location do for you? You can just as easily hunt people down without this extra help.

A new player may not know too much about the map. They may not be familiar with places to hide and camp. They can use it to help them along, until they’re able to switch it for other more battle-efficient abilities.

Good players won’t need it. They may test it out at first, but will ultimately use something more efficient. I’m not sure where you came under the impression that this would be a massively overused and over powered armor lock.

Well, we could already tell is someone is around a corner or something using motion tracker.

I can see a number of people using it for a while, then people will get tired of it due to too many others using it. Many players now a days want to be unique but there many counters to this ability such as loss of vision and the sound of usage. They will move on kind of like a phase.
