No doubt everyone wants to be able to place AI combatants in forge. Like and share this with as many people as possible to spread the word!
Pathing is not as straight forward as one might think. I mean look at C.E. (as much as I loved the game) , how often did we run into enemies that were static until you initiated contact? Halo has gotten better at wandering monsters over the years , but it is still incredibly simple , compared to games that actually focus on this aspect of enemy behavior.
Well, Tom French did say he was working on AI in Forge, but he also said it wouldn’t happen in Halo 5. It is pretty hard to do, as Sunsdune said.
what about Day/Night hour settings for forge?
What I mean is having an option in your forge menu under ‘Special Effects’ that would alter the light settings.
for example having four:
- Noon (default)
- Midnight
- Dawn
- Dusk
now employing these would be mainly used in custom maps and would allow for more interesting matches and more creativities in Matcinemas (or however you spell that…)

They added scriptin, we can focus on the pathfindin. All we need is for them to create the AI combatants for us to kill

If they make it so that they shoot that’s fine. They don’t even have to move, we can set up there pathfindin with scriptin.

I’d like it, but I think it would take a really, really long time for the dev’s to make this possible. To top it off, creating the pathing and such would also take a long time, and most likely would take a lot of storage, and lag the game badly. Would be a nice addition to halo 5: Forge on pc, though.

What if 343 were able to incorporate a mechanic where you selected AI to be in your Forge creation just like everything else, and during the design process you had glowing paths representing where the AI was able to go without risking getting stuck, allowing you to adjust your terrain and see how it would affect the mobility of whatever you’re dropping in? Perhaps you could even determine a range for the AI you’re dropping in, whether they’re defending one location, or if they have free reign of the map?
