I’m going through these forums a good percentage of the week and at least once if not twice a day, I ALWAYS see a thread in the forums basically describing how Halo is now dead and its old community is now gone. I hate seeing posts such as those. I’m an old time Halo fan dating back to the first Halo game, Halo: Combat Evolved back in 2001 when I was merely six years old. Since then, I’ve been playing Halo through every single game upon their launch dates and reading all of the books, watching all of the movies, etc. I’ve especially been involved with Halo’s multiplayer even since Halo 2. Halo 2, Halo 3, and Halo Reach, (even Halo Wars honestly), were all great with multiplayer. I couldn’t stop playing them due to their addictive qualities. After Bungie left Halo, when 343 Industries took over the rights to Halo, sure, things may have changed in more ways than one. I’ll admit, Halo 4 wasn’t exactly my cup of tea in regards to the multiplayer considering it was a Call of Duty clone with a Halo skin in my opinion. The story however was still pretty good and for that it still holds its title as a good Halo game in my opinion. Master Chief Collection had bugs at launch, yes. Reporting on the forums about said problems was in order. But it was around then that I really started noticing how everyone basically started crying out that 343 killed Halo.
343 Industries killed Halo over servers that couldn’t support four individual Halo multiplayer games? 343 Industries attempted something that had never really been done before and definitely hit a milestone I believe with it. Four, (technically five now), Halo games with their online multiplayer capabilities and campaigns is just a plain awesome idea. It didn’t work at first. Ok. Yeah I was a little upset too. But I had this thing called patience that allowed me to go play Halo 2 Anniversary campaign, Halo 3 campaign, Halo 4, Halo 1 Anniversary…even other games. Complaining on the forums saying 343 killed Halo isn’t what you should be doing. They are trying to create games for the public to enjoy for both story and couch gaming online as well as competitive tournament play. They are trying to help further along a game franchise that has helped shape the first person shooter category. Things may not be to everyone’s liking but that’s how games work. Not every game is perfect. Not even the Bungie made Halo titles. Nothing is perfect and nothing will ever be perfect.
Stop giving 343 Industries such disrespect. I don’t think that they are ruining Halo. Halo is only changing a little bit to help face a new generation of gamers.
Try using paragraphs.
They charged money for MCC when online multiplayer wasn’t working man… That’s a BIG nono. There’s really no coming back from that.
I won’t give them credit until they do something right.
I don’t agree with most of your post.
Releasing MCC in the state it was in is not acceptable by any measure.
They didn’t change Halo “a bit”, they completely dug up the foundation and gave us what I’d consider garbage in return.

Second this
Posts that do nothing but complain about those who complain add nothing of value to discuss.
