I’ve been thinking about stuff. You know how there are certain stories where many characters are introduced throughout a series, just so all of them meet at the same destination in the end?
Avengers
The Dark is Rising
The Fast and the Furious
Where all parties we’ve met along the way (or at least the biggest ones) all have their own stories but end up meeting the others at the same final battle. At some point, I’d like that for Halo.
UNSC forces
Insurrectionists
Swords of Sanghelios
Sali 'Nyon and his remnants of the Covenant
The Banished
The Created
The Flood
It is my belief that eventually we will find ourselves in the greatest battle we’ve ever faced. And all forces will be there to determine who is left or who will obtain that which they all seek. And I for one look forward to everything finally coming to a head. After all, it’s no longer “us” vs “them”. I’m sure you’re all aware that after the Human-Covenant War, things became really complicated when it comes to sides. No one is entirely innocent. And no one is completely guilty. Where we go after this battle is anyone’s guess.
But I do believe that it’s coming. And the worst part, is I feel like this is the kind of battle that just might be John’s last.
I don’t want this for Halo, and I honestly never think it’s going to happen. It would feel weird to suddenly throw in an enemy that is more dangerous than the Precursors them selves, they are already extreme, I feel like that would be over the top.
I could enjoy the UNSC and insurrectionists making peace eventually, and joining forces (when needed), if they make a deal and the Innies finally get their independence, that would be their price.
But I believe that the current path Halo is on will result in the end of The Created. So I don’t think we will see any teaming up there, nore would I like it. And if the Created does survive the current war I’d rather see them on the Precursors side due to the Logic plague or something, idk.
Most post Covenant sub-factions, I could see doing it for their own survival though.
But if there is ever a final chapter for Chief. I’ve always felt like everything is pointing toward that this chapter would in one way or another, be all about the Precursors.
This can’t just be me right?
I don’t mean that all sides work together. Just that all factions meet at the end. By no means is it going to be an alliance amongst all. The only two most likely working together are the UNSC and Swords of Sanghelios. Other than that, everyone else is out for themselves. I’m predicting a huge all-out free-for-all over who receives power. All sides trying to win.

This idea worked well for Marvel largely because Avengers Endgame was a movie. In the final battle, the camera could quickly pan to each major character or faction and give us a few seconds of screen time to show what they were doing. An all out battle scene in an FPS video game doesn’t work the same way. You only have one perspective to experience the battle through. Instead of getting to see all the factions fighting it out or working together, you just get flashes and snippets of the scene as you work your way through it.
It’s an interesting idea, and a fun one for a movie. But I don’t think it would work well for a game like this. Not to mention, it would require a whole heck of a lot of track to be laid in order for the casual fan to even know what’s happening. Marvel benefited from the fact that pretty much every casual fan knew what was going on because they had seen the last twenty-ish movies. The same can’t be said for Halo. Most potential players have experienced a few of the games, if that. We here on the forums are an extremely small minority who love this franchise enough to actually spend time talking about it with strangers online. We’ve played the games, read a few books even… but almost everyone who plays Halo has probably just played a couple games, or even just one of them.
