A) That’s not a beta. Same -Yoink!- happened a dozen time before with other titles.
B) Nobody fully monetize a beta. It’s not a beta.
C) It’s not a beta.
D) Nobody asked for F2P.
E) You don’t get random good behavior points for defending 343i. Stop.

I’m giving credit where credit is due, this is still the best Halo 343 has made. I’d go as far as to say this BETA is better than the recently released FPS games. I’m willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. I mean we’re all of sudden acting like 343 just EA’d their community. They have to make their overhead SOMEhow.
Methinks…they still have something up their sleeve. I know, i know, optimistic, but hey

The gameplay feels good, the graphics are great, but their aggressive F2P model isn’t
There’s other issues other than BP and cosmetics, but it seems they don’t care about some basic gameplay complains, like player collisions, radar range, gamemode selection, basic rank progression, etc.

The “beta” title is marketing only, but still a rather ingenious way to get feedback about launch systems ahead of launch. Hopefully they’ll take advantage of that.

I remember when FDev said that Elite Dangerous: Odyssey was just an older Alpha…. which was a lie.

After seeing the way they monetized the game, it really feels more like testing the waters to see what they can get away with more than a beta…

I payed for the battlepass. I payed for an e-sports skin that cannot be customised (visors) and cannot equip on my reach spartan. Multiplayer is normally included in the campaign price. I am going to buy the campaign so in total I will have spent 78 euro. 60 for campaign, 10 for battlepass and 8 for the e-sports skin!
Delta, I like that. You could even say its a delta halo.

It’s definitely further along than a beta. Did they not say that this is the multiplayer content that will be available at release? 3 BTB maps and 7 arena maps…and a fully functional super-predatory mtx scheme…heck I regret spending the $10 I did spend on the battlepass, it’s just awful in every way. they’re not getting another cent from me until this game is at least on the same level as MCC quality-wise. It’s a shame because the core halo gameplay is there, but the experience feels tainted by a bunch of poor decisions. In its current form unless things change it’s headed to the zombie graveyard of f2p games a couple months post release.
I can’t wait till dec 8 when all the defenders start telling me to wait till season 2, cause its unreasonable to expect them to fix things at launch.

The thing is that nobody asked them to make a F2P. They chose to do so because it is more profitable. Play it for free is no argument for those who want to have cosmetics. If someone likes cosmetics and plays Halo Infinite (at least now), he will unlock almost nothing. That is what makes the game boring after a short period of time. Not for everyone, sure, but for a lot of people.
I kinda feel like the flights were betas. They have a cash shop, currency, and a battle pass. Feels like a release to me.
I’m not sure why people are giving a pass to 343i on this. After Halo 5 they have a lot of good will to make up for. Halo Infinite shouldn’t be a cash grab in anyway shape or form. Yea the game is free and fun, that shouldn’t matter. They took one of the most beloved, influential franchises in gaming history and totally bastardized it.
We deserved a fleshed out MP not tied to battle pass along with an epic evolved campaign. If that’s what’s coming on the 8th they should come out and say it and stop all the negativity.
They gave us Fortnite.
The flights were most certainly the Beta tests as they actually had lists of items that were changed. Three weeks before launch though is not enough time for any major changes that haven’t already been in the works for awhile.

Early access at best id be surprised if alot changes on the 8th. We will probably only see the elimination gametype with no new weapons or maps.
