This game has been out for 4 days. Just 4…not 4 months, not 4 weeks…4 days. Is it broken? Yes. Should it be this bad? No. But it is literally impossible to diagnose problems like this in a 4 day span and make the fixes to make everyone happy. If these problems persist after a few weeks, then there will be a really big problem, and you can go ahead and throw a hissy fit about all the things not working.
But 343 is actually handling this pretty well, think about it:
–Multiple updates a day about what they are doing and what they think might be wrong. They could be MORE transparent, for sure, but the fact that they are telling us all of these things is a big plus.
–They are giving tips to get into matchmaking, and they actually work. If you are struggling to get in, back ALL the way back to the main menu in the game, then start over. If your roster covers up the player search, back ALL the way back to the main menu in the game, then start over. I’ve done this and gotten double digit matches a day since day 2. If all else fails, quit the game and come back, with the XB1, it only takes 1 minute to do this.
–There HAVE been improvements to finding games, you just have to be patient and persistent.
Being pissed off doesn’t help anybody, it just makes you pissed off. Relax, enjoy the campaign or MM when you can, and play other games or do something else when you can’t.
I don’t want updates. I want results. You can say how you are improving servers everyday. I don’t see it.
They are handling this well? They shipped you a broken game, and they knew it. How is that handling your consumers well? Then we praise them when they tell us every 12 hours that they are working on it and feel bad about the whole thing. How about laying out the problems, whether or not you know how to fix it and an actual ETA on when they can be fixed.
I love the tips to get into their broken matchmaking the most. They wont tell you whats wrong or give you an ETA on the fix but they will give you a mcguyver type solution to possibly getting into an unbalanced and broken game.

They ARE, considering the circumstances.
Technology is very intricate, very hard to diagnose. How would you feel if I put you in a room, with a damaged oven, with no tools, and tell you to fix it in 3 days, while a crowd of people yells and insults you over it.
It wouldn’t be so good, would it?
343I is doing what they can, and I’ve seen improvements.
Think of it as a slight delay. When the bugs are fixed, THEN EVERYONE will feel nice, and enjoy the game. It’ll be like a second launch day, although better.

Bad example. The oven is theirs and they programmed it, and they have all the necessary tools to fix it. Plus they had more than 2 years to ensure that the oven was functioning properly.
The game wasn’t ready, the matchmaking system was far from ready, and they shipped it anyway.
The problem here is that everyone has been jipped, lied to, and cheated. Were it a simple server overload, it would have been fixed after a few hours.

No they’re not. As for starters they released this title as finished product in their vision.
Yes and thats why all software developers work on it to rule it all out. The keep the problems at a minimal. While this title has skipped those tests with miles. Its even shocking that it passed the Microsoft labs for rounding up games.
First off all, theyre not reading these forums, and no tools? So from the last 2 years as development they havent created any solutions or tools and their dispossal? Seriously your joking here right?
Heck they could beter released it in januari, but he Halo 2 anniversary was the date. So what went wrong in 2 years? All finished titles, and all were ready to go since 12 years back.
Geus your not getting it…
If even reviewers and a whole community needs to wait for YOUR ‘‘slight delay’’ its a idiotic plan and badly executed. And most off all, not acceptable!

What should we do, then? Go back in time and stop the game from being made?
Because everyone acts as though there is no possible way this can ever be resolved.
It CAN be resolved. BE PATIENT, 343I is trying to fix it. There is nothing else to do.
“It was a failed launch”
So? The launch as past. All we can do now is wait for 343I to fix it.(AND WE SHOULD BE THANKFUL THEY’RE TRYING TO FIX IT AT ALL!)

> Lol, gotta love the 343 white knights who defend a broken product on release.
FFS, IF IT WAS BUNGIE I WOULD DEFEND THEM TO.
I am willing to defend most people. Why? Because most of the time the hate and negativity is misplaced. Yea, the game is broken, THEY. ARE. FIXING. IT. That’s all that matters.
Stop being so negative, it help no-one. It just makes YOU, 343i, and ME feel bad and bitter.
Everyone feels the need to hate on those when they share a common problem. Yea, let’s call EVERYONE ENEMIES! THAT’S BOUND TO HELP THE BLOODY PROBLEM!
How about, instead of hating, being negative, and pointing out the bad things, you patiently and respectfully wait for them to fix it, while enjoying the good stuff that DOES work?
I mean, seriously? 343 and you have a common problem: the game is broken.
343 is trying to fix it, and you’re just sitting here complaining, acting as though there is such a thing as "defending a ‘worthless piece of -Yoink- product that doesn’t work and will never work’ ", and outright HATING every thing that doesn’t work how you want.
I literally DO NOT understand how ANYONE can hate. 343 tried to do something amazing. And they did, for the most part - and they will follow through with the rest in due time - and then, I will be happy, thankful, and ready to play me some Halo MM!

You think they’ve been ignoring the fans? That’s a joke, right?
They have updated that thread in the support forum daily, often multiple times. That’s giving the people updates and explanations.
They have been somewhat vague, but have given some very specific things as well. Why do you need them to tell you what is wrong? You know what is wrong, and they do too. If they don’t, there are 1,000 threads here with the problems people have to go off of.
Yes you have to wait, I’m not saying you shouldn’t be frustrated, it is naturally frustrating. But everyone saying they’re going to return the game and their Xbox because they couldn’t fix issues in 4 days is way too impatient.

Your right; We recieved complaints about bad matchmaking(like its our fault) Guys watchout; these are ghost games, How this ever could end up in a final build is? Oh were disabled most games for ‘‘beter’’ matchmaking, We continue to improve matchmaking(Damn thats Original) Patch is comming next week, there is something wrong with the game -,-
This all could be explained somewhere in 3 days, but we choosed not to. As we are already losing face as it is.
See now your going all retorical on the manner. I only stated what is the wrong and the way to approach the community and all…
Yet you pull the forum and complaining card. Yeah thats even worse then theyre aproach xD If people wanna complain all day, let them at it. And maybe more people should, saves a lot of excuses ive already counterd on these forums.
Some of you guys are acting like they did this on purpose just to spite you. Think about how you’re reacting, and ask yourself if any company would want to deal with thousands of people reacting in the same way. They’re clearly working hard on fixing it. I’ve already seen significant improvements, and it should be mostly (if not entirely) fixed by next week. Literally no one is happy about this, least of all 343. If you feel you’ve been cheated, then you can pretty easily get a refund, but all the hate solves nothing.
i am perfectly okay with waiting for better MM. why? because i have 4 full games to play through. it’s been so long since i had the chance to bash tartarus’ face in. why complain when you can just play the beautiful remastered halo 2. if you want to play multiplayer that bad, why not just invite a friend over? halo:MCC supports local play.
This makes me think of- “Hunger is the best pickle” - Benjamin Franklin. It means the more you want or have to wait for something the better it will be. I am not justifying a broken game, but I am saying when this is all over; everybody will love Halo again.
