All the gamers are at home, gaming.

If 343 was smart, they would put something new out. The pandemic has pushed us all online!

No one is talking about this game, outside this forum.

Maybe send the big streamers a halo infinite package with some bullsh**, poster maybe, and secured invite to beta. They will talk to 200k people at one time for you.

If 343 were smart they would all be working from home… even if it means they don’t have the time/resources to do ‘extra’ unplanned things.

Oh snap…

Holding the beta right now would be a bad idea because they’d be competing with Valorant.

Given the lukewarm reception of Halo 4 & 5, it would be damn near impossible to convince enough people to pay attention to a Halo game over what is effectively the first FPS in 20 years that is trying to compete directly with Counter-Strike. It’s so unprecedented that it nearly broke the concurrent viewership record on Twitch with over 1.7 million viewers. That for a BETA.

By now, it’s understood that 343 is looking for something fundamentally different than the Halo 5 beta. We’re just not sure what that is exactly.

343 will talk to us eventually about Infinite when it’s ready. I’m timidly hoping for something in June given that E3 2020 was supposed to be “big” for them but with the pandemic, nothing is certain anymore.

Timing with valorant is bad, I agree with Truth, but I think they could use this time to get testing of H2 on PC completed. This E3 was supposed to be the big one, so they have to come up with a creative way to get tons of testers to play during these uncertain times. Timing might not be on our side at all to be honest. Valorant releases this summer so they are going to be a big draw for the FPS community anyway. I’d say limited beta, sneak peaks to build hype and ofcourse HALO STEAMERS SHOULD GET PRIORITY. THEY’VE HUNG WITH THIS GAME AND COMMUNITY NEAR TO ITS DEATH NOW.

I never said hold the beta now.
Just remind the streamers there is gunna be one.
Get them to talk about it for 10 minutes. That is all.

Timing with Valorant is a concern that 343 doesn’t seem concerned about. If they don’t start creating hype they will loose the PC fps community unless they postpone it till after valorant dies down. Which would be a couple months into 2021. And although it makes sense to give halo streamers priority, it doesn’t make sense to grow the game and community. It will continue to be a small community of diehards if the big streamers don’t get it first(hopefully alongside halo streamers). Halo’s difference is its strength, but it wont matter if no one is playing. It will turn into a bunch of forge diehards quick if they keep up the silence.

But imagine if they had computers at home to do small things here and there that would get people talking (ya know, while they cant actually work on the game cuz their home)

Oh snap…

lol

I don’t want to belittle your excitement or frustration, because I’m certainly geared up for this game. However, considering that one of the developers just died, it might not be appropriate to demand action from 343. Let them deal with what’s going on, they deserve nothing less. They’re all people who are working during a scary time.
