I played a couple game of FFA and after getting spawn kill and crossfire 99.9% of the time I had a nice looking negative kd/kda and finish around the 5th position almost every game but you know what ? I am Onyx ! yes I am Onyx ! I lose almost all my game with major negative kd and none close to the first position and I am ranked Onyx ? It look like everyone is ranked Onyx in FFA and thats the funniest part… This game is suppose to be fair and competitive but I feel like halo 4 was 1000 time more competitive lol (no joke)
The ranking system in Halo 5 is clearly flawed, there’s already multiple threads about this.

I finished 1st in 1 match out of 10 in FFA and I’m Onyx also. I’m seriously failing in the playlist yet I’m almost Pro apparently.
H3 Lone Wolves 48, Halo Reach 50 on Halocharts, H4 50 CSR in Rumble Pit but I seriously cannot play H5 at any level of effectiveness. Pistol + AR start is atrocious, 8 players on these maps is no fun - if I manage to get even 1 kill I’m then cleaned up without prejudice, radar is broken so I have no map awareness, I get killed from behind so often due to broken spawns. Not sure how much time I’m going to invest in this game.

Same for me CSR 50 h4 rumble pit but Halo 5 FFA is a mess you just can’t fight someone without getting shot in the back. I win almost all my 1v1 but h5 catch up real fast…
The ranking system has been having problems.
I think im just gonna stay low rank and learn , I dont want a big title and be unskilled, wait is that how corporation’s do ?
Hopefully it’s a big they can address after I got onyx rank I’m like nope that’s not right and have stayed away from it. It’s very luck based when it comes to spawns I hate it

FFA is to broken to play right now I think, the maps have so much corners that when you put someone down to no shields he runs round the corner gets killed then I would get killed from behind. It’s unplayable the winner usually is the guy who has been sitting g watching people shoot each other and then mops up, power weapons are spawing fast enough to have 2 fully loaded rockets on the feild, everyone is onyx which means the skill gap is huge 1 game you could do amazing and the next get hammered. Most of the time the spawns are so bad you’d get spawned in the middle of 3 people shooting it out anyway so you just get massacared in the crossfire.

I’m exactly the same mate, except for halo reach and halo 4 ratings, never played those for matchmaking because there was no rating system imo.
The lack of radar murders all online play, and the lone wolves playlist is an abomination. 8 players is a joke, for maps that struggle to hold 8 player team games.
